Your definition of "light" differs from mine I think. Or did you mean "mousse" perhaps?

I'd spoil them with a luxury Iceland buffet, individual microwaved pizzas (that's cooking, right?) and for dessert I'd really go all out and give them a chilled Toblerone (one with raisins in for the vegetarians) and a hammer each.

My menu would put most people off as even vegetarians end up cooking meat and fish!
I'd probably try something pastry or filo based or even a mild , interesting curry.
I'd refuse to make cheesecake or eton mess as everyone does now and i'm starting to wonder if the producers have a set list.

For starters, Batchelors Cup-a-Soup, with sliced white bread margarined.

Main would be Beans on toast.

Dessert would be Angel delight.
I know I would win.

Not sure about Lemon Tart but the rest of it sounds nice.

You disgust me. How dare you server a mexican side salad with gratin dauphinoise

I have also wondered about come dine with me whether they're meals these people eat reguarly.. or whether they fetch some grand recipe from a recipe book before the day.

They do say ocassionally it's a family recipe they've never cooked or something similar etc. I'd imagine most of them are similar things to that.

Love it, Mrs T - but wouldn't Lancashire Hot Pot be made with lamb?

I would serve a melon starter, followed by my Mum's recipe for Corned Beef and Potato hash, with a pastry crust

Dessert would be Homemade Egg Custard Tart

Any reason why I would be appearing on a time shift channel instead of the real time version? I think my food would be cold by then?!!!

I'd stick to what I know how to cook and works.

Not sure what I'd do as a starter as I'm not into them, but my main course would be marinated pork shoulder steaks cooked in an oyster sauce. Dessert would have to be my moist chocolate cake with a homemade ice-cream. There would be plenty of alcohol to wash it all down.

I don't like lamb, it repeats on me but yes your right

I love corned beef hash and pastry is a weakness of mine and I'm also partial to egg custard

You can have 9.5 points
