Thank you - nothing can beat a good northern meal, I can't get decent black pudding down here - have to stock up when I go back home

I am not sure what I would cook but I know for one thing it would not be steak, especially with the different ways people like their steak done, it just seems a nightmare. I also would stick to one meal for each course, I don't understand these people that cook three pudding etc.

Chopped raw liver for starters with boiled cabbage. Followed by chunks of cold Tofu served with peanut and anchovy sauce on a bed of black pudding and grated celery. The desert would be prunes sprinked with coconut and dunked in creme de menthe. hmmmm.....

My legendary (well in our house) bacon and sweetcorn chowder to start.

Chicken livers with onions in a garlic and chive sauce, served with mushroom fried rice.

I don't 'do' puddings so would probably knock up an apple crumble with custard - about the only pudding I can make.

Salad- Avocado Salad with mozzarella & roasted pine nuts.

Pasta- Spinach tortellini in a tomato & basil sauce.

Main- Piperade

Dessert- Tiramisu

Starter - Cheese fondu with brocoli, cauliflower, baby spuds and bread for dipping.

Fish - Miso-blackened mackeral with daikon and samphire.

Main - Roast venison with caramaized pistachio mash, greens and a port sauce

Dessert - Grilled peaches with marscapone and crushed ameretti(SP?) biscuits and a grapfruit Granita.

Not quite pefected the pistachio mash yet.
