Has anybody read it? I can't find a good synopsis on the internet. I think its a graphic novel.

I read Yummy Fur where it was serialized. Absolutely brilliant. If you find the idea of a character with Ronald Reagan's head on the end of his penis disgusting, it is not the graphic novel for you.

I find that hilarious.

I was getting into scott pilgrim so wanted to know about other indie style comics and things, so looked up online and found a top 10 list, and this was on it, and seemed quite good.

Do you know any other indie style comics that you'd recommend?

I haven't read all on this list but 2 of my favourites : Cages and Love and Rockets are there.

If you want something really funny then The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers is a must read. Although about 60's hippy/drug culture the humour is as relevant now as then.

Anything by Robert Crumb is also well worth a read.

Are these the sorts of things available in comic book stores or only available online?

Also, looked up Robert Crumb. He looks good also. Any particular works of his you'd recommend? I'd like to get into a specific one, rather than a general set of different works.

What about the book of genesis?

This is a pretty straight adaptation of Genesis not satirical. His funny stuff includes Mr Natural and Fritz the Cat.

If you like Cages you will probably like Violent Cases by McKean and Gaiman.

If you don't want to buy online I think your best bet is to try Gosh! on Great Russell St. I always call in when I visit London. They have a huge range of indie graphic novels.

Late edit: Gosh! are moving to Berwick Street 1st August. This was the street that housed the first ever comic import shop "Dark They Were and Golden Eyed".

Not only that but there promo-poster is drawn by Luke Pearson who I met today. He kindly signed his new graphic novel: "Everything We Miss". Drew me a nice sketch too.

Mr. Natural looks good, thanks. I've got a birthday coming up so hopefully I'll have some money to spend on buying a few graphic novels.

Quite a few of my friends are fans of more traditional superhero comics, so sounds like a trip there is in order.
