Unlucky, they said I had took the last one that they had, sometimes the help desk do just send you others. Last year, I asked for cast cards of the brannings and i was just sent a bunch of random cast cards that I already had of the present cast

Whatever mate, the one going for 1.99 is actually going for that low price as it is personalised and no one wants a signed cast card dedicated to someone else

Hey, if you are happy believing you have a rare card that you think only 50 were produced of, good for you!

Out of the 50 around 5 were very rare the 2 rarest were

1. Leanne Lakey who played Belinda Slater (One of the original 5 slater sisters) Only around 50 were printed

2. Ronnie Mitchell but really rare cast card as it was really rare as it says Samantha JANUS as Ronnie, which is what Samantha Womack used to be called until she got married to Mr Womack.

Great so happy still!!!!!!

When you send a letter to the helpdesk can you just ask for anything or do you have to ask for spersific people

I guess it depends on who you ask or who receives your request.

When I got my second package with my requested cards from the Corrie press office back in the beginning of June I realised that I got more newer cards than older ones. I wrote them an e-mail asking what their policy was on older cards. A young woman and not David Nugent wrote me back and explained it to me. Then the next day she told me that they had Kate Anthony cards and would she like me to have her send me some.

She sent me a couple of e-mails answering my questions and she seemed very nice. The following week I sent her a request list with an added paragraph at the end asking for any cast cards featuring people that had left the show pre tram crash. When I finally got the package a few weeks later, The postage on the package was double the amount of my previous package though due to the carelessness at Canadian Customs , they opened the package and many cast cards disappeared in transit and all I was left with when it reached my house was 6 of the newest cast cards (such as the Price Family) I was upset as I probably would have gotten some interesting cast cards, plus ones that were under the thread of finishing.

Then when I e-mailed the Press Office again to ssee if they could help, I got an e-mail back from David Nugent saying that the young woman I had been speaking to had been let go (perhaps for being too generous?) When I gave him the request list., he said "You'll get what we have available" and when I got that package recently, I didn't really get anybody really interesting only the missing cast cards I needed featuring people that are still on the show. No one who had recently left the show.

I guess it really depends on who answers your e-mail.

You can ask for anyone. But chances are that they wont have them if they are past characters, the hardly have any past characters so if you ask me there is no point wasting your stamps on them unless you want cast cards of the present cast

The cards that say 'Janus' are very common, loads were printed, not rare at all.

The cards that say 'Womack' are much tougher to get than a 'Janus' one.

A couple of years ago a lot of us from an autograph site wrote to the helpdesk to ask for old cast cards and were sent approx 35. The included Leanne Lakey, Joe Swash, Gemma Bissix, Ross Kemp etc, I have a list somewhere as I gradually sent them off via agency. I already had Leannes card from when she was in EE - she was well known at the time for being a good signer. There have been three of her cards sold on ebay since the 31st July.

Please stop being patronising to people -calling them an amateur or whatever. This has always been a friendly thread.

That's what I was thinking. I have 2 cards of Sam's that say 'Janus' on them. She was in EE for a couple of years before she got married so the ones with her maiden name definatley aren't rare.

I dont want to start an argument but in her time on eastenders hr name was Samantha Womack for longer than it was Samantha Janus as she has been married since early 2009. So the Samantha Womack ones are miles less rare, I have more than 25

Samantha joined the soap in June 2007 - and her sirname was Janus back then, her sirname became Womack either last year or 2009 (cannot remember which).

The cards that say 'Janus' are much, much more common.

Sam was called Janus from -

July 2007 - March 2009 = 20 Months
April 2009 - June 2010 = 14 Months

I send a C5 size envelope (can fit a folded A4 piece of paper in) and is the largest size you can still use a regular size 1st class stamp on.
