I sent Tilly Keeper a request just after the meet and greet (wanted my picture we had taken signed) other people seem to have had replies in the last few weeks but nothing for me, bit worrying

Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt today - signed but undedicated, as were the ones from Nitin Ganatra, Perry Fenwick and Gillian Taylforth. I concluded that they have a PA who sends the cards and probably adds the letters to a pile for the star to read when they have time. In fact, they all have the same handwriting on the envelope (at first I thought it was printed in a handwriting-style font). Others came with the star's own handwriting. Apparently, Laurie Brett needs this person.

A weird one yesterday, a signed (undedicated) Grace Olubunmi card from Ellen Thomas after around five years!

I wrote to her a couple of times when the character was in the show (once to Elstree and once via agency) and was fortunate to get a reply to one of them, so imagine my surprise when I received this yesterday (this had the Eastenders second class postage stamp on). The style of envelope was one I hadn't used in a long time so had no idea what was going to be in it. I was kinda hoping there would be a Claudette card included but sadly there wasn't.

Anyway, if someone wants to trade for this (looking for signed/undedicated EE cards) drop me a pm as I already have the one and have no use for this.

Does anyone know if the BBC still pay postage? I have been sending a stamped SAE with all my recent ones as was unsure due to the unsigned cast card rule changes.

If you send your own envelope with your address on you get a quicker reply (John Altman told me this when I met him )

I never thought of doing that, I probably should have done it. Is it best to put a stamp on? I didn't fancy paying postage on that many envelopes!

I never put a stamp on, no, but have done the last few times as unsure if they have changed their policy on postage due to the cast card rules changing, as I imagine that's down to budget cuts. That's why I was asking further up the thread if anyone had a reply over the last few weeks and not included a stamped SAE as I will stop adding a stamp if I don't have too. I spend a fortune on stamps as it is!

I received replies from both Perry Fenwick and Scott Maslen in the last week and I didn't include a stamp on either of the envelopes.

I'd save your stamps as I've had about 8 replies in the last month and I didn't include an envelope let alone a stamp.

Rudolph Walker today, personalised

This thread's gone a bit quiet lately. Any recent Corrie successes? Mine seem to have dried up a bit of late.

Had a reply from Rhea Bailey last week, with a dedicated Coronation Street card and a letter. Took about 4 months.

Apart from that, have had hardly any replies these last few months.

Hi,

What are the new Cast Card rules please? Does it just apply to BBC programmes or are ITV doing the same?

Thanks

As far as I know the only thing that has stopped is getting blank cast cards from the help desk, u can still get autographs by writing to the actors/actresses

I didn't know about the blank cards, so you have answered my question re EE anyway. I scrolled back also. I would like to know if it is a cost cutting exercise across the whole of the BBC? Why don't they charge for them as some actors will neve rsend their cards out.

I hope ITV don't follow suit.

Anyway thanks for your answer.

It seems to be a new person at the help desk who decided to stop sending blank cast cards so not sure if it's a cost cutting measure or not, as long as u can still get autographs I'm happy enough

I had a signed photo and letter from Linda Marlowe today. Took around 3 months.

It's not an official EE cast card, but it's a picture of her as Sylvie, with 'Linda Marlowe as Sylvie Carter' printed on the front.
