I see these are starting to turn up all over ebay now aswell. I wrote to her after her first episode aired and haven't heard back, though I did the same with Charlotte Salt in Casualty last year and never received a reply.

Nice Rokshaneh success as there were never any successes for her when she was in Emmerdale, none even showed up on ebay (and yup, I never got anything back from her).

The above Neighbours address is correct and they are really good at replying, plus they'll pay return postage their end. I have written a letter to request a few cards but am not going to post it, as I am through with collecting now. The lack of responses to letters sent whilst seeing others get replies from letters sent after I have written, has killed the hobby for me. Not to mention seeing signed cards turn up on ebay to people who I've written to, yet I receive nothing my end.

Adios thread (unless the unthinkable happens and replies from the likes of Tameka Empson, Himesh Patel, Jo Joyner, Meryl Fernandes and Ricky Norwood show up, then I'll come in and post on the ridiculous length of time it has taken for these to reply).

That's a shame. You'll be missed.

I had 1 reply this morning, which was an old Neighbours fancard from Stephen Lovatt. It was undedicated and took 2 weeks (to and from New Zealand).

Just checking back in here and thank you to uzzybuzzy and EastEnders-1105 for their replies!

Would like a signed cast card from Matt Lapinskas seeing as he's leaving, so will make a start with that tomorrow. What exactly do you write in the letter, and do I address the letter and envelope directly to said cast member, as in Matt Lapinskas, then the address?

I'm also wondering this for Hollyoaks as I'd like a signed Emmett and Kieron cast card.

Some people say they get them personalised - how does that happen? Do you have to ask? If so, I'd love it, but feel a bit cheeky! lol

Yes, you put the actor's name, then the address, and it'll be passed on to them.

You can write whatever you want in the letter - just explain that you're a fan of EastEnders, or of that actor in particular - and the reasons why - mention some of their scenes or stories that you enjoyed. And then finish with a request for them to send you a signed picture.

And yes, the same process applies for Hollyoaks. Their address is:

Hollyoaks,
Campus Manor,
Childwall Abbey Road,
Liverpool,
L16 0JP

I don't think I've ever seen any successes from Kieron Richardson or Emmett Scanlan though, so you might have to be prepared for a long wait, or to not receive anything at all.

You can ask for the autograph to be personalised if you want to - I'm sure they get asked for far stranger things in some letters! I've never bothered, and most actors do it anyway, whether you ask or not.

Thank you for your detailed reply - it's much appreciated as I've not written letters to soap stars since I was a teen!

Emmett and Kieron are very popular actors, so they're busy and probably don't get around to doing a lot of these, but will give it a go and wait and see.

Ahh right.... I understand about the personalised part. I won't ask as it may seem a bit pushy - will just concentrate on doing the letter and will be grateful of a signed card and hopefully a dedicated one.

You're welcome.

When I used to write to EE I'd do a whole buch of letters at once and write the names on the outside after folding them up (to make it obvious who the letters were for), put the same number of self addressed envelopes and stick them all into a larger envelope to save on postage. Then I'd just address it to EE, but I guess if you are doing it individually address it to the actor directly.

I always ask them to "personalise, if possible" but you don't have to. Some actors only do it on very rare occasions like I have never seen Adam Woodyatt personalise, but he did for my cousin when she was around 9 years old.

A Coronation Street card and letter from Lisa George this morning. Took 3 months. The card was personalised, and the letter was a typed one apologising for the delay in replying, and saying how much she's enjoying playing Beth.

So now she has an official Coronation Street Cast card now? Cool. They sure aren't making new cast cards for new actors as fast as they were last year. I thought Amber would have gotten a new card when she returned, but she left before one could be made.

Also, Is this Elle Mulvaney card an official one? I've heard that for the last few years they haven't been printing cast cards for the young actors.

I saw that a few days ago and have been wondering the same. I think it may be similar to one that Ellie Leach (Faye) has. It's not an official cast card but is one they've had made up outside the show. Ellie's isn't an official one as when I asked the helpdesk they said she didn't have one. I wrote to Elle last week so I'll see what I get back.
