Oh I absolutely agree! And as if that wasn't amazing enough, you get a good wodge of clotted cream with it as well.

I enjoy Nandos when I go mango and lime double chicken (I'm usually hungry ) pitta with chips and coleslaw. I should try more adventurous things really

I do look at Nandos as fast food not a restaurant.45 min is a bit long for a quick meal.”

Our Nandos is in a leisure park. Depends when you go, Saturday night the wait can be an hour, but lunchtime I have often walked in, shown a table, sat down and ordered within 5 minutes.

As for far food. Chicken is pre-cooked but then flame grilled on BBQ with requested marinade. Normally takes around 10 minutes between ordering and food arriving at your table.

You can also order over the phone if you are doing a takeaway.

I just don't get why some people seem to love this place.

KFC with cutlery basically.

Very middle of the road. The kind of thing people from Swindon probably enjoy.

Oh yes I love the clotted cream too, I had actually forgotten about that as I was so blinded by my love for the cheesecake.

Fried chicken via BBQ, not really the same thing

I can't see the appeal myself. Went once, food was very ordinary and the conduct of the other diners put me off ever going back.

Nando's don't barbeque their chicken.

I understand that - but what is there to actually like about it?

Overpriced portions where you have to get up and order your food.

Nando's is definitely overpriced for what you get. If paying over the odds is okay with some people, fine. But KFC will give you value for money and a meal that's just as tasty!

KFC is tastier cheaper and at least it has some sort of origin. Nando's is about as authentic as Frankie & Benny's.

How can anyone say KFC is better than Nandos? Nandos chicken actually has flavour and isn't covered in grease!

If you bother reading their website you will know the history of peri-peri sauce. Its a lot older then southern fried chicken.

Went there with my family yesterday for my birthday.

It's not my favourite place but my family love it. If they're happy, I'm happy.

And you can't compare with KFC, only thing they have in common is chicken, that's it!

I agree, I can't stand KFC but like Nandos, it might not be posh dining but I'd never compare it to something McDonalds or KFC, it's miles better than that.

I went to the Nandos in the Printworks (Manchester) yesterday and had the vegetarian option of roasted haloumni on Pitta (I don't eat meat!)

The food itself was nice but the waiting staff were awful- none of them looked at all happy in their jobs and the woman who was our "host" couldn't have been more sarcastic and rude if she tried.

I would also be aware that they are a chain specialising in Portugese chicken. How many Nando's are there in Portugal?

Perhaps because people have different tastes? Just a thought.

I personally think the Haloumi is great in Nando's. I'm not a massive fan of the place but the Haloumi is good and the chicken livers are absolutely divine.

What marinades do they offer?

I've never eaten at one, and was wondering if they give you just 'chicken' and they you have to pep it up with some of their table sauce.
