Both gained a lot by their relationship, they were both flawed by what life had dealt them and needed each other to help build up their self esteem and face the world head on.
Josie still has a way to go to learn to trust and give herself to a partner and the bitter end to the relationship undid a lot of her confidence but she has started to look much more fresh and has a much more positive approach to life , her healthier diet and reduced drink intake together with more exercise is helping her physically and mentally , the column is as feddy said theraputic by sharing her darker experiences she is helping others and herself.

Seems that josie's column has touched many today. I have always admired her honesty, she's never been afraid to stand up and be counted. I often wondered how someone who has had everything thrown at them as turned out such a kind, happy and loyal person.
It warms my heart to know how much she is loved by all that come in contact with her, her sunny disposition leaves such a impact on people.
I honestly and truely wish her all the very best in everything that comes her way, no one deserves it more.

it was quiet here for a few hours but folks back now. im off soon to watch THE HOUR on BBC2, its set in the 50's & I love that era. Regarding the OK article Josie is getting abuse from her haters cause they said she compared herself to Amy Winehouse & made little of drug abuse. Now I have reread the article & I cant find it where she directly compares herself to Amy, she was answering a question & telling her own story, if she did compare herself to Amy could someone please enlighten me. its just not fair that she is getting blamed & tut tutted for things she dint say, is there no end . I might post later if Im brave enough just to set facts right.

I agree Feddy. Also I don't read the Main Forum, any other Josie bashing forums, or nastiness on Twitter. I like coming here to talk about positive things, not about what the idiots are wasting their time taking about. Hope we can keep this place positive as there's no need to quote their nastiness and pettiness here.

Did Gosh get HEAT yet? There's apparently a Seen section there which mentions Josie at the talent show in Bristol or Yate or wherever it was.

Awww....it's been a real pleasure to read back on here tonight! Like everyone else who has posted about the OK mag article, I am very proud to support Josie Gibson! I really admire her courage in being so open about her past. She has never proclaimed to be perfect or some kind of plaster saint.

I think she has come through a lot of trials and tribulations in her life so far and has trodden some dark paths along the way, but this is what has helped shape her in to the person she has become today and in my eyes she's pretty amazing

IMO anyone who steps away from a life tainted by drugs and alcohol deserves a huge pat on the back!

It was so nice of people who are not regular posters on here to drop in with their very postive comments .

NIGHT all, i never go near the main thread at all so thankfully am immune to the vile crap posted there, but in other appreciation threads they feel the need to be self righteous and pontificate and have an opinion on everything and are blinkered in their views. i wont post a right of reply there as it wil be just a waste of time, i have really enjoyed today and apart from a few heartless cynical folk others really responded to it. i hope josie is having fun or working and most importantly happy wherever she is at this present moment, night folks.

Wes is hopeless apparently he joined a man jogging, he gave him to a family out for a walk and he could'nt come when i called cause they had tied him up, still he is very tired now, sian and i spent ages mending his fence, if he wants to get out then he seems to be able to shove his 8 stone frame through the smallest of gaps, sian said why cant we tag him like they do wild animals to track their routes, im working on the train him better method

Hi Guys my name is Bev and I joined DS today in preparation for when BB starts in 2 weeks time. I have always read the forums but whilst working full time never had time to post but now as a stay at home Mum my time has come. I love Josie and in particular this thread: the support you all give her is great and i love the fact that their is no hate
( unlike other threads) also I have really appreciated how you are first with all the mag news. I am not afraid to say that reading some of your posts 2day have really choked me up- Josie really is a special person who has overcome so much in life and is a lovely person.
