1 pkt mixed chicken pieces
1 green chilli
shake of ground almonds
tin of coconut milk
mushrooms

This is an anglo version and very tasty.

1)liquidise chilli,coconut milk and almonds
2)bake chicken in oven for 35 minutes.
3)Wait 15 mins. Fry onions and mushrooms in a large pot.
4)add sauce to pot and thicken. Do not boil.
5)add chicken to the pot and mix them into the sauce and serve with either rice or jacket potatoes.

You can put in apricots, peaches and pomegranites and cook it all in the oven.

Is there anywhere I can buy it as a ready meal or as a takeaway, can't be bothered with all that cooking.

The best fruit to put in that dish would be barberries, which you can get in a lot of Middle Eastern shops. Bit like cranberries but a little sweeter.

Yes but not all towns have these type shops so I used fruit you can easily get in the supermarkets.

Most people would have to go to London to find barberries.

I've just noticed you can buy them dried online.

I know, but no harm in trying to help eh?? I've seen them in quite a few cities/towns outside London, but you're right, not everywhere.

Thank you. I've noticed that their other name is Berberis and some people have these growing in their gardens.

Has similar base ingredients to a Korma. It may give you an idea of the taste.

Berberis Vulgaris or European Barberry grows in gardens and is the same. It has nasty thorns and makes harvesting difficult.
