Re remote a lot of folk who thought like you changed to £25 worth of Harmony 300 remote. & are now contented.
It allows you to control up to 4 devices, which might appeal to you.
Re EPG loading delays, an earlier post re-educated me into using "Schedule" then "red" It is quick & does work. I had stopped using it because I neglected to program "schedule" into the Harmony.
