So do I. That would be great considering the artists she's up against and the fact that she didn't have a massively successful lead single. Really loving this album. The reviews seem to be spot on.

This is probably my favourite song on the album:

Rebecca Ferguson - Heaven
apparently it received 'universal acclaim' with every reviewer giving it at least 4 stars and three reviewers giving 5 stars.

have you bought it? is it any good?

I personally love it! Incidentally, there's an existing thread on this album here:

I've been listening to it for the past day on repeat.

My favourite is 'Shoulder to Shoulder.'

Not a weak track on it. One of the best releases by anyone this year.

It's fantastic! I wasn't expecting it to get so high on iTunes.

Listening to Mr Bright Eyes at the moment. I really love it.

One of the worst singers of recent times. Very affected voice, flat most of the time and a hideous vibrato.

Well she's the only X Factor contestant ever to make it onto my i-Pod.

I got rebecca's cd today. I love it. Her voice is special and the words of some songs are so lyrical. Well pleased I am.

The album has surprised me how good it is. It just doesn't sound like an X Factor contestant's album at all.

PS There's already an existing thread on her album here:

My favourite has to be "Shoulder to Shoulder". It's really catchy. I hope she goes top 3!

Mr Bright Eyes, Glitter and Gold, Fairytale, Nothing's Real But Love, Too Good to Lose and Diamond to Stone are my favourites.

Such a stunning album. Really happy and surprised - I wasn't that much of a fan of Rebecca on XF but she's won me over with this record. I love it, playing it to death and it feels like a timeless collection of songs that I'll be playing for a long while.

"Rebecca Ferguson has been named the most successful act from last year's crop of X Factor contestants by Amazon."

It's a brilliant, brilliant album.

Funny thing is - I HATED Rebecca on the xfactor.
Well not her, but her performances.

I always said, her voice is SO distinct, that I hated how she sang most of the songs Cheryl gave her.
What I wanted to hear was original stuff from her. Stuff that I hadn't heard sung by other people before.

And when her album came out, I bought it so I could finally decide if I liked it or not!

Let's just say - I love it. I love her voice, I respect her so much for writing (co-writing) every track, and I think this album deserves every bit of praise that it gets.

It is by far and away one of the best xfactor contestant albums. This is real, soulful music.

Anyone in doubt, just give it a go. You will not be disappointed!

It was obvious she was going to beat Matt. I bet she beats his record sales too (I don't think he's did that well in the first week).

I thought it at the time and think it now, she (realistically) should have won The X Factor. Now i'm glad she didn't as she's doing well and had time to do this album in quiet. I still long for the studio version of "Distant Dreamer" though.

Agreed. I know it sounds cliched but it sounds like a proper album by a real artist. It has a sort of stylistic coherence and musical integrity which you just don't associate with XF performers.
