So it looks like an introductory show on 7th Sept, with the series proper starting with a double-header on Friday 30th Sept and Sat 1st Oct, with the Final on 17th Dec

Quote:
“Strictly Come Dancing

BBC One | 7, 30 September, 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 October, 5, 12, 26 November, 3, 10, 17 December

This series, on Saturday 19 November, Strictly Come Dancing will be live from Wembley Arena in aid of Children in Need. The tickets for this programme will cost £20 (a booking fee may apply) with all revenue received by the BBC going to Children in Need. Tickets will be allocated as part of the random draw to make the allocation of tickets as fair as possible. Details on how you can apply for tickets for this very special episode of the programme will be announced soon.

Please note that on Saturday 17 December the Strictly Come Dancing final will be live from Blackpool.”

I've applied for the 22nd, but I know I won't get in

Well you never know.

Couldn't you only apply for one date last year? It's good that you can at least apply for all the shows.

Every year starts with eager anticipation, but the postman never brings me any tickets

Just to note .... the one on 7th Sept is a pre recording if I'm reading it right ? To be shown on 30th September when the show actually starts ?

If not I will be on holiday on 7th September, which is bad planning on my part.

Good luck to everyone who applies - we need our sources to leak the result to people who can post it on here. Can we keep the thread - and then those who do get tickets can let members know which show they are attending

Providing of course you don't mind leaking the result to us

I don't think so. I reckon the pre recorded launch show will be shown perhaps on the 10th. Then on the 30th is when the first half of the contestants will dance - with the other half then dancing on Sat 1st (no ellimination.) This is what they did last year.

You can actually find the result anyway. Every year sites like William Hill put up odds on whose favourite to win. Then when the show starts that night they take them down and take no more bets. Then about an hour after the show the odds are back up for people to bet again with the person who has gone no longer on the list. I noticed it last year and every night the one who was missing from the list was the one who went the following day lol

Are you talking about the celebrity elliminations here as opposed to public ticket applications lol?

Was referring to footygirls post about people attending being able to leak the results of each show

Nice one! Mind you, I have to say I have a lot of fun hovering around the spoiler thread on the night of the show - pandas 'n' all - and the source usually lets us know which other couple was in the bottom two, which is a bonus not provided by betting sites.

I have applied for tickets but with no great anticipation that I will be any more successful than in previous years. I hope some kind soul posts a notification here when the BBC announces the availability of the Wembley Arena tickets for 19th November - £20 a ticket is a bargain in comparison with the prices for tickets on tour...

Do any of you know what the chances are of getting tickets for Blackpool, it's the first year I've managed to apply on time and I'll have months to wait before I know if I've been successful. Do you know how many tickets are available and how many people apply?

Is the launch show included in your pick for one show as last year you could apply for the launch show and one live show?

Thanks

I believe this year you can apply for all the shows but only ONCE per household (max 2 tickets.)

slim - none!!!!!

Thousands of people apply for what is relatively few ticket as alot of the seats are taken up by "family, friends and celebs" invited to watch the show

Blackpool is a much larger venue but I dont know if that increases the likelihood of getting tickets - I doubt it

Its completely pot luck and if you do get tickets - well done and enjoy the show!!

I wish they'd raised the price of tickets to the Wembley show. Not that I think how much money you have should equate to the pleasure of watching Strictly live, but anyone in their right mind knows 320 is a complete bargain. I've just graduated, I don't have much money put I'd hand over at least £50 in a heartbeat. I don't know about anyone else ... and it would stop a lot of people applying!

At least £20 will make them think twice though!

I wonder how they will allocate the seats? £20 for a dancefloor seat is much better than £20 for a seat at the back. Although I guess the dancefloor seats will go to friends, family and famous people, as always!

I think £20 is a reasonable price too but considering that they are normally free........

But like you, I would be happy to pay more!!

I wish they would stop giving out tickets to celebs who have no connection to the show. 99% of the audience should be fans who enter the draw fair and square.

When do we find out if we got any tickets or not?
