Meh, the over-production hardly screams "freedom", sounds like they've been caged behind rigid synths and a faux-sinister beat.

And it does nothing remotely invigorating or liberating. A song about girls who will "break the speed of light" and plead their listeners to "come alive" whilst some perfunctory melodies try to instil a sense of urgency, needs to be more forceful than this: it's not half as wildly feral as it thinks it is, and the chorus is the biggest let down I've heard this year.

A song like this should bite your hand off, and instead it sniffs your arm. What use is that?

I like it, they need a killer video though!

I hope it is not a 'Sweet 7' video with wannabe costumes, 'futuristic' scenes, and awkwardly trying to be sexy.

I hope they do it fresh and just a video, not something that will 'change the world

This thread appears on Google searches for Sugababes Freedom! Well proud!

Looks like generally the song is really liked, except on Popjustice. The usual dumbasses over there are slating it for not being dark and moody or something or other. What morons. I suppose they're led by example though, Popjustice himself is just as bad.

LOVE THIS! but it will be a HUGE mistake if they release it the same week Leona releases her comeback song!
Why do all the good artists release stuff at the same time? We've had about a 4 month drought!!!!!!

I read on another thread (the Sept 4th one) that the 'Babes have pushed Freedom's release back a few weeks. I'm not sure if its true, but if it is, then good. Quite a few popular artists are releasing that week.

I think it's being released on September 19th now?

Just found out the Sugababes are headlining the pride event in Manchester at the end of the month alongside Pixie Lott and Alexandra Burke, I'll definately be getting tickets for that!

Nothing against the current members but just imagine Mutya's vocals on this.

That would be another level. It's still a great song.

I think some people need to accept Mutya and Keisha as being gone, its not healthy to keep dwelling on their departures imo and what could have been

What if what if what if

It's my opinion - I don't think it's unhealthy to perhaps acknowledge that Mutya's vocals would suit this track - she is a part of Sugababes history. I'm not a 4.0 hater, having bought Sweet 7 and loved it.
