Humax 9300T Updates
Switching on my Humax 9300T this morning, an onscreen message box informed me that Updates for the Humax had been installed online (down the aerial), it also recommended that I go to the Installation option and click on Default Settings. I haven't done this yet because I'm concerned that doing so will delete all the materlial I currently have stored on the hard drive. Am I right to be concerned.

A "Default Setting" will delete any scheduled recordings yet to run and return the box to the settings it has straight out of the box but will not delete anything on the hard drive.
So worse case should be having to retune, set up any Favourites list, all the other settings you may have tweaked and restore any scheduled recordings you have waiting. |

Guide population
No worries on the 'Default Setting' thing mate, my machine has done that of its own accord dozens of times.
My concern is how long it took for the TV Guide page to populate. This is a problem I thought was long since solved, now ITS BACK! So much for improvement. After about 10 minutes only BBC1 and BBC2 were fully populated, and even now, several hours later, no information at all for More 4. Anyone else the same? Maybe it will be back to normal tomorrow. |
