same here. I'm on Weightwatchers though and tried the extra light version (-70% fat) and it was rank. There really is no substitute.

(The -30% fat one isn't awful though..)

I haven't had it for years - not, I think actually, since leaving home at 18. I might buy it now to see what it is like nowadays, for next time I have oven chips.

I like a little bit on a salad, but not too much. My husband adores it though and he liked cheese and salad cream sandwiches. He even puts it on baked beans *vomit*.

I cant stand mayo and have never bought it in my life.

Mayo always tastes so greasy to me. Salad cream however is yummy.

I prefer it to mayo (mayo is icky) but I've not had it for ages - I have a half used bottle of it in my fridge but I'll throw that out soon as it's not been used this year

That's made my mouth water, what an excellent dinner.

I love all salad cream and mayo but I have to say the best is Heinz, especially the mayo on chips.

Difficult to beat salad cream on a tuna and cucumber sandwich. Always keep some in the fridge.

My homemade mayo is better I reckon, what with the garlic and mustard. Though I tend to put in quite a bit of vinegar which makes it almost like salad cream.

Can't stand the blandness of greasy shop-bought mayo - what is the point of it ?

There's a couple of sarnies that definately require salad cream.

smoked sausage (mathesons type) or luncheon meat type ham lathered in salad cream on a soft bun. A bit of iceberg is allowed.

or a cheese savoury type mixture made from grated cheddar, grated carrot, onion and salad cream.
