What a perfect night for a BBQ

The weather is great (apparently we're supposed to be getting heavy showers later - fingers crossed it is after the cooking), the beer is in the fridge and the lads are coming round later on.

I've just put the bbq chicken in the oven to pre-cook. The minted lamb chops and chinese pork chops are in the fridge and the rack of ribs and spiced potatoes are ready to go.

Sounds like a good plan! Thank goodness I have just eaten or you would have me salivating

Have you ever tried tandoori lamb chops (or even better, tandoori rack of lamb)? It's divine.

the chinese pork chops came out the best. I used 5 spice and sharwoods hoisin sauce on them plus some red food colouring.

I always like to try something different so indian spiced lamb will be showing up sooner or later

Why did you put food colouring on them?

To make them look "authentic". When you get chinese pork from the supermarket or butchers they are red, so I did the same

It started raining just after midnight here and it was perfect timing. Got through the bbq without and rain then it cooled down over night.
