I don't get this £200m figure, why would anyone pay more for a franchise that is producing less interest than in 2006?

Because it can stll make them money and potentially bring lots of new viewers to C5. It's a gamble but a gamble worth taking.

Does anyone know what time BARB release the overnight rating figures? Just had a look on their site but it only seems to go up to the 7th Aug!

I used just read DS's recap but I've not seen a ratings article for a while now.

Looking at past threads, etc, the overnights seemed to get released/posted late morning, so I suspect we should have the numbers by noon.

I can guarantee 6 million wont be watching the second one.

I think 5.1m is above anyone's prediction, is it not? Superb figure for Channel 5, furthermore its also the best 'Summer launch' figure for Big Brother since BB9 - although I'm not sure its fair to compare as the celebrities will inevitably bring more attention at launch.
