Really? Tom's vocals were poor and it just sounded like a (ugh) AVA song.

I highly disagree. It does sound a bit like AVA but it's better than anything they have done and it's not AVA, it's Blink.

If you don't like it, maybe you will like this... another song from their upcoming album. I think it sounds like the stuff from the very first Blink album.

Hold Ctrl & press A. The song will be revealed.

I can tell you that the entire album is absolutely awesome. We haven't had it off since 6pm last night.

A bit for everyone - Punk Blink, AVA, Box Car Racer, +44 but one big Blink sound. You will love it.

Funny because it isn't out til monday, if you love the band buy the records, rather than illegal dl.

Can't wait to hear it regardless.

And where exactly did I say I illegally downloaded it?

I know people who have downloaded it and played it. Should I walk out of the room when it is playing because they acquired it? Should I put my fingers into my ears and sing to myself whilst it is playing?

I think Blink are way overated, Green Day were much better in their pre sell-out years but the most underated band that seemed to allways get swamped down by blink and green day hype are Sum 41!!

Is that the one where the video is very dark and gothic and there are spiders crawling around because if it is then that is my favorite song of theirs?

No that's I Miss You, one of their more commercial tunes.

It's this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXjIzDUV3Ig

you might recognise it from American Pie 2.

Christ, sum 41 were a bloody awfull band.

You cannot talk about pop punk bands that were underated in comparison to Blink 182 and Greenday and not mention NOFX.

Still are. Not many people know they are still releasing albums. Terrible stuff.

I used to love their old stuff.

Sum 41's music isn't awful it's just heavier and less radio friendly, Blink didn't seem right after their first few albums, grown men singing about kids stuff :Z

New album arrived today. Incredible, not a single weak song.

That's why they didn't continue singing about teen stuff after the first few albums and changed style.

I'd agree, wasn't too crazy about 'Kaleidoscope' at first but it's grown on me a little.

Favorite song is probably 'Love Is Dangerous' or 'Ghost On The Dancefloor' (what an awesome opener). Been playing the entire album over quite a lot, loving it. While I've always been a fan, I'll be honest that I didn't expect it to be great, yet it really is.

From my point of view blink have been stuck between a rock and a hard place for years, they were a really good pop punk band in the 90's and were good at writing songs about being a teenager, then as you say they got too old for that and changed their style.

That would be fine, but they don't seem to be very good at being a mature band, infact apart from the odd song they haven't produced anything good since the late 90's. Their best two albums (Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch) were recorded with a different drummer.

Perhaps a bit controversial but with Travis the band have only ever been average, perhaps time for them to retire the name and move on to other projects because the new album doesn't seem to justify the band going on, its average at best. Still, plenty of cash to be made from trading on past glory.

I was not a big fan of POP PUNK but Ruth Ruth and NOFX had some good tracks.I always felt POP PUNK was just trying hard too copy our late 70's scene in a more pop happy manner.
