Who cooks from scratch and who cooks using ready-made/pre-prepared food (including frozen and tinned etc)?
Personally I'd really like to be able to cook a meal from scratch but when I see on the recipe how many ingredients I'd have to buy I just think it's easier to use a jar of sauce, or something frozen/chilled. I'm not the greatest of cooks either. There's just the two of us to cook for as my little one has only just started weaning, but I'd really like to start cooking properly so when he gets older he'll have nice, homecooked meals and not frozen chips and pizza! I know it's cheaper in the long run to cook from scratch as well, as the ingredients will be used a few times before running out. I'm on a budget as it is so I should really get my arse in gear!
What are your opinions on these cooking styles? Arguments for/against?
