I don't remember the places I ate,

I had a hot chocolate to die for in Italy, and o so many pizzas and pastas I'd relive.
I had amazing salsa and tacos throughout Mexico. Nothing lives up to it. O and the best margheritas/ tequila was so smooth
I have had the best potatoes, curry etc in a place called punjabi dhaba I think in India. I remember the name as my o/h always mentions it. We also had the best potato masala in a dosa int he middle of nowehere.
The best steak ina restaurant in America in that place I can't remember the name of I think it begins with a P (my last ever bit of meat). The cheesecae factory for the best cheesecake

This is how I feel. A meal doesn't have to be fancy and cost the earth to be memorable.

Mine was Haddock, Chips and Mushy Peas at the Magpie Cafe in Whitby. It was to die for.

It wasn't Churrascaria Plataforma was it? We went in this all you can eat restaurant in New York, with a red/green piece of card on the table. Red you've had enough, green feed me more! They have every possible meat cooked to perfection. It was amazing, quite expensive but an experience.

Mine was in the Top of The world restaurant in the Stratosphere restaurant in Las Vegas.
It was Chateaubriand and was the best meal I've ever eaten!

Glad I went on the rides on top before my meal!

A bog standard looking diner in Paris on a college trip. At that point I used to have steaks well done and so it seems did the rest of the guys on the trip.
When most of us asked for steak & frites well done the waitress just stared for a moment and said 'non'. She said they don't cook them that way and we could have it rare or meduim rare

We all said to have it cooked as much as possible. Anyway, it turned out to be the best steak i'd ever had and have had my steaks rare/medium rare ever since.

Still not sure if the jokey comment about it being horse was true or not

Had the Chateaubriand at the Top Of The World restaurant too and it was indeed divine.

Not my best ever meal though.

I had a wonderful Pork chop with Greek Salad in a cliff top Cypriot restaurant (it was off the beaten track and a very "locals" place) - we were overlooking the Med as the sun went down! That was def the most beautiful / picturesque place I have ever eaten and the food was amazing - but not sure it was the best food ever?

I am truly stumped on this one actually as I have been very lucky and had a lot of amazing meals in my lifetime

Amuse bouche.

My favourites (can't pick just one!) are Cordeillan Bages in France, The Oxo Tower in London and The Box Tree in Ilkley. But there have been so many fantastic meals over the years....

Barcaro in Barcelona.

Not a very formal place, not hugely "posh" but lovely staff, a brilliant atmosphere and the freshest, loveliest food.

Lots of 'off the beaten track' tavernas in Spain; I can't really narrow it down. You always find the best places down little lanes in barrios, the kind of places old men frequent, where there are napkins and toothpicks on the floor. I've had some great home-made tapas in Madrid and Seville away from the masses.

Picking one place for trusted tapas I'd say Las Columnas in Sevilla next to the Catedral.
