I had searched for a thread but couldn't find one.

I was fortunate enough to see them at Glasto this year, and I'm reliving it tonight. It was incredible

I am glad they're back, hopefully there might be some new stuff soon-ish, and a Glasto headline slot to follow/accompany.

Anyone else seen them recently, pre break up, favourite songs etc. etc.?

saw them at Isle of wight festival- really good- was surprised how many songs I recongised, not knowing they sung them. Really got the crowd going- Also just missed them at a Festival in France- I would have loved seeing them a second time.

Saw them on one of the nights at Brixton this week. So good.

I can't actually stop listening to them at the moment.

One doesn't appreciate the full power of that opening line until one hears it sung in the unique style of Mr. William Shatner. As Gordon Smart would say, what a Lord.

Saw them at Isle of Wight & Reading festivals this year. Fantastic both times but preferred Reading as they did Misshapes

Do You Remember The First Time? is another favourite of mine now which I (ironically) had forgotten about til seeing them.

Common People = one of the best songs ever!
Disco 2000 = very good!

The rest = turgid tuneless self indulgent tripe!

You seem to have got Pulp confused with Lady Gaga,

I haven't listened to their albums in a while, but since I saw them live, I've gotten them out again. They're full of absolutely brilliant stuff. I don't remember loving the This Is Hardcore album as much as I do now.

i.e. they're the only 2 tracks of theirs you've ever heard.

Common People IS an out and out classic song. I appreciate it a lot more now for some reason than I ever did. The album Different Class is amazing from start to finish. No wonder it won the Mercury Music Prize. None of their other records touch it in terms of overall quality.

This Is Hardcore is probably my favourite Pulp song. It just gets more and more epic as it goes on. I also like the really long Wickerman from the 'We Love Life' album, also Weeds from that album too. Other favourites Lipgloss, Babies, Live Bed Show, I Spy The Fear etc. etc.

Also, check out Jarvis's great solo albums!
