One thing's for sure with this new version of unreality TV BB: it will be doubly easy for the producers to manipulate the show, so that the contest will be slanted to favour the ones they want for future use in OK/Star/C5 contracts. Personally, I think it now a waste of money voting in BB.”

Agree with this - and Victoria Coren's article is great . But then, she is saying more or less what I've been thinking this year, and we always think people are great when we agree with them. CBB just isn't interesting me, the hms are all too manicured, cosmetic and well, self-conscious about being 'celebrities'. Where's the fun in that?

At the moment I have no intention of watching any of it (famous last words). The downside is that I then won't be able to comment on DS. Also, I have to say that I might not have watched last year, had my daughter not got me into it, and then think what I would have missed! I love chatting to you guys, I love appreciating John, but have yet to get involved in BB this year. Actually, I don't when I think about it want to get involved.

John rules is all I can say

Hi Annie
What is Only Connect please? I could do with something decent to watch on TV

Sorry to hear you have tests - hope all goes well, Lindy x

I sadly agree lol.It is hard to believe how shy John James actually is.He thrives better in small environments where he feels in control of himself, put him infront of lots of people and he is like fish out of water.

No way is Darren walking,he is enjoying every bit of it.It is hard to believe he is the same person who has been slagging off BB hms for years. He is also Australian

It will be nice to know when the lauch of MLDenim is just to look out for John.

well my family think that I am sad and mad over John, I even persuaded them to come back from holiday one day early last year because John was doing a PA in Spalding it was worth it though and would do it all again as we were getting wet and cold on holiday.

Morning all.

Only Connect is kind of a puzzle game, you have to make connections about things - with two teams. On BBC4 I think at 7 pm. Really makes you think.

I gave CBB another go (actually watched 20 min of it). That's it for me - it was still the Jedward and Kerry and Amy hour although there was actually a 20 sec conversation between Sally and Paddy and another 15 sec one with Paddy and Darryn and a 15 sec one with Pamela and Amy. Even a 5 sec diary entry with Bobby and another 30 sec diary entry with Sally. I think Channel 5 should have left BB dead and buried.

I miss John James too. My husband and friends don't even know how involved I got in his story. My husband would seriously commit me. He doesn't approve of reality shows. It took me 2 years to get him to watch Strictly Come Dancing!

Hello everyone hope all are well and those who have been unwell are on the mend. Glad those who went had a good time in London.

I wish john james was involved with bb. I do feel that the ex has knocked on the head any opportunities for him. Totally unfair.

Tonight on bbbots there is a quiz and there will be a panel with josie as captain and they will be asked questions about what has happened on cbb in the last week.

This would have been perfect for john. Great for his oneliners, he's got good memory and i think he would have been comfortable because it wouldnt be talking about himself. Cbb missed a trick. Get john back. The ex could do the report back whilst she is looking through the window into bb. She would only have to say what she sees and this could suit her humour. Room for both? If only.

My only hope is that john hasnt sacrificed what he wanted to do or where he wants to live just because of the campaign against him.

Cbb needs john james as quiz leader!!!

the Victoria Cohen interview is good isnt it, she has managed to say some relevant points, including all of the Hm this year are a bit too similar.

I also think C5 are going to have a massive problem in comparison with C4, with coverage. Its not just the lack of live feed, its also the lack of saturation across 3 channels!!!
IN previous years, I might not have started being that interested in CBB or the regular BB, but there would often be times of the day like teatime, when id be flicking through channels looking for something to watch. C4 had it usual channel , and the plus 1, and E4, to play with, and during BB there was usually something about the show on one of these 3 channels... And I did used to enjoy Little brother cos is was perfect early evening viewing, to just dip into,
it will be interesting to see how C5 get on with the show?

NO specific news about John yet I see?

and Crisi how are you after the airshow tragedy, It was odd seeing you talk about it yesterday and then hearing about the plane crash, it wasnt anywhere near you was it?

By her inaction, it is clear she approves. Just as I hold John "accountable" for the actions of his loys/loyettes and, when they were together, the appalling behaviour of the JJJ twitter army.

However, Josie's case is different from most HMs because we know how she's sent DMs to stir up (proactively) her fanbase and how by her actions she clearly approved of the attacks on John in the first week of May when he came back. And we watched how she behaved in BB11 itself, where she used to manipulate others to do her dirty work (vs Sunshine, Keeva, John and Pepper). Might do a more detailed post on this next week some time, as it's still a key misreading of her standard MO in the minds of many . . . and is what John will have to contend with if he comes back.”

its is difficult to say how accountable someone should be for their fans.....It does take a lot of skill to know how to contain or manipulate a large group of people like the twitter army, and I do think to some degree neither John or Josie did initially know how to cope with all the attention from fans... Some of the attention was created without direct intervention from either of them.....

But I do agree that Josie has used fans proactively in the past to express her opinions, and in those cases she does need to take responsibilty for her actions, and learn from past situations/mistakes....
and to be honest im surprised that so many of her fans still support her in this.

Sherries FB page is private, she has never appeared on BB nor do we know if she is with John. It was a total invasion of privacy and was used to generate post after post slating him for choosing this time to come back to upset Josie despite there being not a jot of evidence to support that.

I find it interesting that all the people, John loathers each and everyone, were able to post in Dens defence without a murmer.
BBBOTs is dire and on the strength of 3 or 4 sentences I have no idea whether Josie could be good or not. What I do know is that the fawners and the toadiers bear some responsibility for turning her into the arrogant person she is today. Clearly she had a choice so the blame is mostly hers.”

I still do wonder how much of this if any Josie actually sees or realises?
Does she really live so much in the present that she has no idea of future consequences that aspects of her behaviour might provoke?

Hi Finny
Nice to see you back. Hope you are free for cheerleading duties.

I quite agree with your comments about John. I too hope he hasn't sacrificed his plans because of a few idiots.
Unfortunately I think CBB needs more than just John James as quiz leader. Certainly won't be watching the spin-off show anymore. Twice was enough. Would rather watch Nick and Vic.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Morning everyone

Morning Augusta and Annie - wasn't it shocking news about the red arrow crashing!! I was in a restaurant about 10 mins from the airport - we had a clear view of the red arrows flying over and we were impressed by what a good view we had of them. We had clear views of the sky over Bournemouth and we became aware of two yellow helicopters and then heard loads of sirens in the distance - we could tell after a while that it was coming from the airport. By this time we were in the garden seating area and someone near us got a message on their phone about the red arrow. Everyone was upset and shocked - no one knew where it had crashed or how many people had been hurt. It was so sad when we heard that the brave pilot had stayed in the plane rather than ejecting so he could steer it away from houses and people - my daughter and her boyfriend live about 5 mins walk from where it crashed.

SO brave, and as others say strange to hear Crisi talking about it yesterday, and then the tragedy, hope the town will not be too affected by it.

RE The BIB

If true of course it's actions like this that cause Josie more harm than good

1-It doesn't bode well for Josie in either her Professional or Private life if you in effect are calling for your colleagues to be sacked in order to replace them

2- The people who say Josie should be on the panel instead of Alex are wrong ,as the last winner of CBB Alex has more right to be there than Josie

Alex=Last winner of CBB so more in tune to comment on a panel regarding CBB

Josie=Last winner of BB so more in tune to comment on a panel regarding a normal BB simples I can't see how people can see differently

Amazingly brave - all the Red Arrow pilots are in the RAF and have seen active duty - makes you well up just thinking about it.

So glad to hear you are all OK. Terrible tragedy. Went to an airshow with my late in-laws a few years ago. Marvelled at how exciting the displays were. Such a brave young man. Truly courageous. He really was a hero to sacrifice himself for others.

The problem is cah, people who act like this don't think and don't consider that others may have a different opinion. These are the same people who have made it so difficult for John so I don't expect anything else from them sadly.
