High I have an external 1tb drive connected by USB, I have formatted the drive as exfat from a Vista laptop, I tried from a XP machine but could only format as NTFS.

However when I connect to the Humax I cant see the drive.

Do I need to format in a different way and if so how as the only option I get are exfat or NTFS
Do I need to activate the drive on Humax ?

Use Easeus Partition Manager to format the drive EXT3.

The Hdr will only recognise FAT32 (Max file size 4GB) and windows won't format a 1TB drive FAT32 without using 3rd party formatting software and EXT3.
