Hard to believe my cat was that small once!

Simba is very cute. I'm sure once he's settled in you'll all love him to bits! (that's if you don't already, but he looks like a love-at-first-sight kitty )

i was never a cat person either, but we took on a cat from one of our relatives and now i wouldn't be without her, love her to bits and don't care how expensive they are, shes worth every penny

I've got two cats and just got a kitten two weeks ago and I wouldn't be without them.

awww so cute. i wasnt a cat person but within 24hrs of getting my 1st cat i was smitten and then went and got another one from the shelter lol.

I've let him sniff my fingers so far, that is a HUGE achievement for me. He's purring an awful lot so it must mean he's happy so far.

I bought a slightly bigger one for my two...they are asleep on top of the washing basket..

you are his new mummy now so he will get attached he needs too because he is still a baby. so dont be frightened to pick him up cuddle and play with him. his purring is showing you his contentment and that his pleasure. he will need constant reassurance from you, just like a toddler really. love his bed, if you have a small furry cuddly toy in there for him to cuddle up too he wont miss his litter mates so much.

I know. He has fallen in love with my kids, all he wants to do is sleep on my daughter's lap.

i used to put something with my smell on it in my cats bed,with a small furry toy to nestle into, this replaced his litter mates, let him fall asleep on my lap and gently put him in his bed, with an old cardigan and drapped a sleeve over his back, so that he felt as though he were still being held.

Ok we'll try that. My daughter has settled him down after letting him sleep on her. But every time she walks away, he cries.

He's the kitchen at the mo as we have a through lounge and until he's used to that space without supervision, he'll have to stay in there.
