Too much milk! What can I make?
My neighbour went on holiday and gave me two pints of milk and I forgot to cancel my own delivery today - result is 5 pints of milk for only 3 of us.
I usually make a lasagne as the white sauce uses a lot. Any other ideas? |

Give it to another neighbour who might be a bit strapped for cash.

Milk lasts a week. So easier to just cancel the rest of the week or find a teenager who likes huge bowls of cornflakes.

If it's glass bottles and you decide to freeze it make sure you pour a bit out of each bottle first into a plastic container so they don't overflow when the freezing expands the Milk.

To be honest I'd go for a lovely rice pudding or a bread and butter pudding.
Or do bread and butter pudding but use croissants instead of bread and instead of the custardyness make a caramel one with some sugar in some boiling water and then add milk and eggs. Lovely. |

Thanks for your suggestions. I am going to make a lasagne tonight and make a bread & butter pudding tomorrow or whatever you call the savoury one. My daughter has made a chocolate milk sort of shake so should be ok now.
I usually avoid milky things as it makes me sniffy but I don't like to waste the poor cow's hard work. Or is it cows' work? |

Flan instant mix pudding aka milk jello.
Regular fruit jello works as well. Almost jello also an option. |
