Have I got a problem with my Humax Freesat box

Recently bought a Humax Freesat twin HD 500gb PVR (April) and have noticed that while watching a program and rewinding LIVE TV when it plays the subtitles are visible and pressing the subtitle button to toggle on or off says it's not available in playback. Then if you FF to catch up to as it is being broadcast the subtitles disappear. EH???

Another more irritating problem is the box won't acquire an IP address from the router so cannot get any iPlayer. It's not the router or cable. Tried assigning a manual address too but no good. Also a factory reset and retune... no good.

To be honest I am not overly impressed with the HD quality either. Bought this to replace a Sky HD box as needed to save on the outgoings and Sky was more sharper and had better sound quality. Pictures look a little 'soft'.

Is it's time up and needs to go back?

Thanks for any advice

Yes, it's a known 'feature'?! see this topic: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1490548

Also, if you google: "humax foxsat hdr subtitles on chase play" you can see other results

Turn subs on and off for each channel affected then they will go away.

I havent seen any complaints about HD picture quality, well apart from the BBC and thats their fault. Most people say its better than sky.

i didn't find the HD quality on the HDR very good either, it was too soft as was the SD, my pace sky HD box was much better, then i bought the echostar hds-600rs and that was even better than my sky HD box.
