Looks like episode two of The Borgias had the usual 'Anytime effect', whereas unlike timeshifting the viewing is attributed to the most recent linear showing, with good figures for repeat showings.

So often third and subsequent episodes increase after dropping figures for the second.

Good timeshift figures for Sky1, Atlantic and C4.

The Killing - 987k > 1.84m - 86% (wonder how many of the 987k watched live and saw the ad breaks and how many same day timeshifted and spun through them? - Worrying for a commercial channel).

These "100 Greatest" programmes always do well. Although I noticed last night's programme fell short of the 9% audience share they normally achieve, even including +1...

I think it helps they themed it around celebrities like Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry. Didn't Channel 4 say they were dropping list shows? Hasn't happened yet.

Has 100 Greatest Dramas been done at all? I imagine they could easily fill 100 with British and American shows and maybe the odd non English shows like The Killing.

Just WOW at that Poirot rating, sub 2m for a repeat of a flagship drama with a Corrie lead in too. And also beaten by a repeat of a highbrow documentary on international terrorism on BBC2 for good measure.

Viewers really seem to have given up on ITV1 in its Great Summer of Woe, the big 3 shows aside.

Is the brand being terminally damaged as new depths are plumbed and new excuses/expectation management come to the fore?

I should add that im disappointed with New Tricks, thought it might hit the magic 9m mark in the overnights, but it was well short. With a Corrie and Red and Black clash next week, a series low is certain. But it's been a fantastic run this year, aided undoubtedly by ITV's weakness.

I am not surprised Poirot got low ratings. It's repeated endlessly on ITV3 so not sure how many fans of the show would come to it new. Not really sure what else ITV could have shown though. Isn't there any dramas sitting on the shelf they could throw out in these slots. Even if a few years old, at least they would be new to us if never shown before?

The Ruth Jones show was pretty dull. She should just stick to acting and writing which she is very good at.

I may be wrong but I think they were planning to air the remaining new Poirot last night, but New Tricks probably stopped them. Absolutely terrible rating for the repeat though.

Are there any new ones ready for airing yet?

They've got an episode (The Clocks) on the shelf that was filmed a while back. I think they ordered another script recently but that won't be filmed for a while.
