I don't normally pull people up on their dodgy predictions but you were so incredibly smug and matter-of-fact about it at the time that I feel compelled to do so. You got it THAT wrong and still won't acknowledge that it did well.”
To be fair most people underestimated it, but I'd advise you to wait to see how the show pans out before gloating.
The real question is though will C5 ever see ratings over 5m again? They've managed it only four times in 14 years and BB finals usually are lower than the launch, and with BB12 beginning the day after it's not going to get the build up CBB has.

I suspect for a lot of your standard, filler, TV wallpaper type shows - ie. daytime - maybe 95%+ of viewing is live. I mean, who the hell would DVR This Morning or The One Show. This will push the stat you reference much higher. But for a serialised drama, especially on a smaller channel, that figure might be down to 80%, or even 70%. Which is obviously much more significant in the way we analyse ratings.”
Good point - and indeed I suspect most night out of the 23m or so watching in the peak hours the majority are simply watching TV, not watching a specific show on TV.

Yes, I agree - although it did begin to hit it's stride in the Fri/Sat slots last series. It's another C4 show though they'll allow to get mediocre ratings simply through scheduling, but it'll probably hold it's own though go sub-2m.
