Apart from the drop for Who Do You Think You Are?, there are not many great surprises in last night's ratings. BBC1 apart from that had a consistent night in the mid 3m range, with the News at Ten doing well due to events in Libya.
The Champions League performed well for ITV considering the Qualifying Play Off round in the past years have been lower, even when involving Arsenal so they'll be pleased with that. Emmerdale's rating is fine and its tape-checked rating will be probably around ~6.5m. It's actually done quite well this Summer, it hasn't dipped below 6 million that much, but there again the weather hasn't been too warm this year.
So-so night for Channel 4, but I think they will be behind Channel 5 in the primetime shares again. Big Brother improved again for the third night in a row, and I won't be surprised if the eviction show on Friday is near to 3 million.
