With every post, one looks for a semblance of correct grammar and punctuation. And every time one is disappointed...

Were you absent the day they taught the rudiments of grammar? Or are you merely evidence of what prolonged exposure to DeadEnders does to the brain...?

No, she is still learning grammar.

Not everyone has the benefit of great grammar and punctuation, I thought everyone knew that and it's kind of low of people to discriminate because of it...Talking down to people behind a computer, sad if you ask me.

Why not? At least make an effort with it! If you call that talking down you should read the posts of the person your defending!

Yet we're expected to put up with FP telling us to "piss off". Interesting set of principles you have there...

And it's not sad to point out bad punctuation and grammar; merely a cry out for some standards (which I accept is probably a vain hope in this country these days). Sorry, but bad punctuation and grammar offend me and I will continue to highlight both.

No, not everyone has the benefit of great grammer and punctuation, but it's always nice if someone appears to make an effort. Speaking (typing ) as a dyslexic I know it's not always easy, but it's just plain lazy not to make an effort. I know I make many mistakes in grammer, punctuation and spelling in my posts, but I'm pretty sure most are readable and most people would know at least I've made an effort to be readable.

I've said this many of times, there's always the ignore button. This is what Digital Spy recommends instead of creating heated discussions. Also if it annoys you that much wouldn't sending a private message be much easier and less embarrassing for that person?

But where is the embarrassment if, as you claim, we're all hiding behind computers? And why should I - or, indeed, anyone else - feel inclined to spare the blushes of a poster who repeatedly abuses others without compunction?

Welcome back under your new name If flowerpower didnt come on posting rubbish about toilet functions the she/he would probably not have got as much abuse but telling people to Piss Off and that so and so must be shi**ing themselves is hardly likely to endear themselves to every one on here. Spelling and grammatical errors I can put up most of the time but flowerpower was just insulting for the sake of it.

Absolutely! One isn't asking for Dostoevsky. And typos are easy to make; God knows I make enough myself being a klutz on the keyboard. But, as you suggest, a bit more effort from some quarters would be appreciated...

Yes i'm with you on this, but there are ways and means of telling someone! If I all of a sudden I said Agent Krycek you've spelt grammar with an E (I know thats petty), then it's going to make the topic go off topic and you could get offended!

Yes well I see your point, D:S described this forum as 'friendly' and I just can't see it. I know Flower Power has made some really bad posts full of really bad grammar and punctuation but I think, just to click ignore is a lot easier (although I've only done it 3 times )

Well, it probably IS the best policy. But I've seen FP make several, barely literate, attacks on other posters and I felt a little dose of sarcasm might even up the score a bit...

I don't think you're a moaner at all. Alas, you ARE a fan of DeadEnders (which I loathe) so I fear we're never going to agree completely...

I'd like to make the following observation and question.

Flower Power, it seems from looking at other posts, you do not like Coronation Street, and you prefer Eastenders.

My first point is, that if you do not like it, then why do you spend two and a half hours watching it? Surley this time could be used more constructivly and i'm sure theres something else to watch on the other four channels, or 500 if you have sky.

Secondly, I think you are suffering from being affraid to come 'out of the closet' in the respect that you really do like Coronation Street, but are affraid to admit!

Let your feelings out, and come out!
