Hey folks. The first half of DH what you all are watching at UK pace on E4 has been simply enthralling and has gone from strength to strength per every episode. I loved Bree's line in episode 8 "I do protect my friends. They're the one thing in my life who haven't failed me and I'm not gonna fail them and against that, you're powerless..." Marcia Cross has been on fire this Season. But keep watching closely cos after episode 12 (as I watch it at US pace as soon as it's aired on ABC in America) it's going to dwindle drastically. I don't like what's in store from having watched the trailor for episode 15 cos of the goings-on and return of 2 recurring characters. Hope it isn't a waste of the remaining 7 eps and a 2 part finale in May.

I think it has gone downhill from season 5, but this last season is better than the previous 2. Season 5 & 6 were boring, season 7 should have been amazing but wasn't and season 8 is too depressing for a final season.

Season 6 started off brilliantly, I HATED nerd pathetic boring Eddie Orlofski being the one who strangled all those girls only because he got rejected and once again Susan being in the dark that he put her daughter in the hospital, NOT to mention that Nick Bolen was the man Julie had the affair with. Katheryn's sudden realisation abou her new-found sexuality was tedious, unnecessary and didn't do the character justice to how she was introduced in Season 4, a fiesty housewife who was a force to be reckoned with. Killing comical and hunky Karl Mayer off was a diabolical mistake and another fantastic character who'd shown potential over the years. Gabi and Lynette's feud from episode 8+ should have continued and they should've got aggressive instead of having Lynette save her daughter from the plane crash as a way of bringing the friends together. Season 7 was ace right up to the riot episode. I LOVED the slutty side of Bree letting her hair down and getting it on with dishy Jeith instead of being a prude and so uptight to how she used to be from Seasons 1 - 4. Paul's pathetic attempt at getting even with wife Beth by simply kicking her out of the house was awful. Bree and Gabi should've learnt about Susan's webcam business and given her a good grilling. WHY the hell didn't the scriptwriting team have Mike call Susan all the names under the sun when he discovered her cleaning fetish? It was too nicey-nice. For me Renee hasn;t brought anything to the table and she's been a poor addition to filling Edie's shoes as a self-absorbed housewife. Season 8 has been AMAZING from episodes 1 - 12 but the last 2 have been a let-down in SO many ways. My lips are sealed... |

There's lots of rumours circulating as to who could possibly be biting the dust in episode 16. IF it is Mike, why would Marc Cherry & team wanna axe him? Do they feel that after 8 Years they've taken his character as far as they wanted to or do they want *A* housewife to endure some heartache instead of always being nice and pleasant?

The the thing is susan has endured more than her fair share of heartache, so would hate t think mike will bite the dust, but then again he has done some really shady stuff, so karma might be on its way around,
I would prefer it to be Carlos tbh. Never really liked him |

Be sure to tune-in to episode 9 tonight at 10pm on E4. I'm not exaggerating when I say you won't wanna miss a single minute of it. A very powerful moment involving Bree which will carry into the beginning of ep 10 next week will have you loving the red-head even more.

It will also give the actor/actress who goes the chance to join another show for the fall filming. So career wise maybe not so bad. The US will find out definitively who dies next Sunday - as they will be 'gunned down' that probably suggests someone with enemies or debts?

![]() I think it was designed to make you think it was Bree (she calls him, then he gets mown down by a black car like the one she drove off in in the previous scene and then and she is seen wanting to end it all). And then we saw Mary Alice's ghost. Very moving and dramatic episode - but I've heard it goes downhill from here on in. |

I'm really enjoying this season. I hate to say it but there's nothing more annoying than people who've already watched it US pace telling those who haven't seen it yet that the 'season goes downhill'. I would much prefer just to watch and judge by myself. I don't get that compulsion at all.

If it helps, I think the season has remained at a consistently high level, and I think a lot of other people do too.
I guess we all have different opinions though!

Season 6 was really good to start off with, but then after the plane crash it dropped dramatically and felt like it had lost direction since there were no 'major' storylines. The flashfoward was okay, but again unnecessary. The other storylines like stuff about Gaby being proud to be Mexican was boring and Karen having cancer for 2 episodes could have handled much better. Making Eddie the strangler was a huge disappointment, especially with giving him an entire episode on how the housewives knew him was awful too and cringe-worthy for me to watch. Season 7 was much better than seasons 5 and 6. The first half was really good. I liked having Paul and Felicia back, and I liked Renee. It just 'felt' like Desperate Housewives again since it had ties to the first few seasons the last had lost. However, after the riot, it dipped again. It wasn't as bad as Season 5 or 6, but it just felt like they were dragging out the Andrew-Juanita and Paul-Felicia storylines out as far as they could. However, it was the best Season since Season 4. Season 8 has been brilliant so far and can't fault it. However, reading some posts on the US spoiler thread, it looks like its going to dip (in the January US pace episodes). I'm hoping it isn't as bad as some are making out. But after all that, I will miss DH when it goes.

I really hope it's nobody linked tto Gabi or Lynette cos even though I do not want the Scavo couple to reconcile cos it would be too predictable, lovey-dovey, cringe-worthy and an element of the show coming full-circle as Tom/Lynette were together from the start of Season 1, I like Tom's character. James Denton aka Mike Delfino is super HOT (the 5 Year jump after Season 4 haasn't affect him at all, lol) as I like his bulging biceps and six-pack but I won't be all that bothered if he meets his maker. Just hope it's nothing we can see coming from a mile. Predictability ruins a show which is why Season 5 was a load of BS.

So you've enjoyed episodes 13 & 14 just as much as the first 12? Everyone sure has a different taste as to what they feel is quality and dramatic television & I for one prefer gritty, dark, unpredictable and jaw-dropping stuff which keeps you guessing and craving for more and sadky episodes 13, 14 and the trailor for ep 15 look like a waste of a 2-hours. Not including TV breaks/adverts.

Ben killed chuck (is he DEFINETLEY dead?). IMO, he was not going to let anyone jeopardise his project any further.
Carlos wouldn't do it, he has suffered from killing Alejandro to much already. Maybe mike, or maybe even one of Ben,s associates. Good episode last night. |

Wikipedia obviously has a summary of the episodes so far in the US - as well as the previews of the next 3 episodes after the major character dies. I think its all heading towards a dramatic ending - hopefully it will be upbeat so the girls all end up back together! |

As with previous DH whodunnits its may not always be the most obvious person (or the one who they suggest) who did it. But guessing who it is is always the fun bit! |

I'm not too bothered about the lack of a disaster episode - they were getting a little formulaic. The only decent episodes were 'Bang' (which remains the best episode of DH I've ever seen) and the tornado episode. The others were pretty lame really, and the 'riot' episode was ludicrously bad. |

Wow at that last scene. 'Mary Alices' "I'm not unhappy" line was chilling. If things continue going to the crapper as they have been, I think Bree is the only one of the housewives who could indulge in that Final Solution... ![]() I'm guessing it'll be
