My system keeps on locking up when in standby on low power.
Im not sure what firmware i have but would the new 1.34 make any difference to this, ie make it better? does any1 know?

no words of wisdom from any wise types...
i may say this box is a pile of poo in comparison to my
old digihome pvr 80 - if only id bought ones of those
for my grandad on ebay.

I don't have this model but I would try a hard reboot - switch off at the mains, leave for 30 seconds, and switch back on again. It may benefit from doing this every few days.

Could you elaborate on the symptoms? If it is "locking up" in low power mode, how are you getting it out of low power mode? Also, where does 1.34 come from? There has never been such a version for the T835. I presume you mean a HDR255 - where was it purchased from?

If you bought from Argos and can take it back then do, I have one and its in its box, they are rubbish, I've had nothing but problems with mine, If you can get a refund then do.

thanks for all replies, yes got it from argos and its junk...poor signal loop through, and needs constant resetting after recordings, this wouldnt be a problem for my technical grandad but takes him about 10 mins to get up so just thinks "oh sod it", and puts babestation on instead.

Signal loop through is good, but is only fully functional when the box is not in low power standby. Ignore azimo to some extent - they're not all rubbish (his mainboard was faulty). You still don't say what software version the box is currently running, but if it is v3.4 or newer I would recommend returning the box to Argos for an exchange, if it is still in warranty, as it is likely your particular box has a hardware fault.
