Well, that's your opinion, while mine is that I have found talkSPORT's rugby coverage - prior to this tournament as well as during it - really very good and I have found myself listening to the station more regularly because of it. Neither of our views are more or less worthy than the other's, they are just two people's opinion.
Of course you don't have to prove your opinion, but when you make statements about audiences and demographics that you want to appear factual then it's my opinion that you should back those statements up with something in the way of evidence to give them a bit of credibility. If they can be debunked easily then it damages your credibility.
Don't fear, I'm in no danger of coming round to your somewhat unusual views.
The comment you have highlighted relates to how the tournament is a relatively short one with the bulk of the action going out in early morning weekend timeslots i.e. not much of it goes out in the "key" radio timeslots that generally bring in the most listeners and those of it that does is generally lower key matches that will be broadcast online only (which is an improvement on the UK radio coverage these kind of matches had received in the past). So for those people who might be turned off by the rugby (which is something I nor anyone else on here has denied) aren't likely to be turned off for long let alone stop listening permanently. But really I don't see the potential for a short-term knock to the station's audience, let alone in the long run.
And if happening to remember a post you made in another thread which I replied to is "slightly disturbing" well...that comment only goes to strengthen my suspicion that you are on a bit of a wind-up mission here and are purposefully trolling this thread.
Why spend so much time debating something you have made it clear that you don't like, in a way where you ignore any facts or reason put to you that is contrary to your opinion by making loads of obviously wind-up merchant-esque statements and comparisons? Here's a challenge for you - rather than be continually negative about seemingly everything related to talkSPORT's RWC coverage, could you tell us what (if anything) you've liked about ITV, talkSPORT and any other radio station covering the tournament's coverage? It would make for more constructive reading from my perspective.
