13 is good but doesn't mean it will give her a high debut. But then again im not expecting her to be like Adele with this new album. Just nice of her to extend her fanbase because i don't think she did make an impact with her last album over there

I think it will do better than Family Jewels definitely, however I'm not going to get my hopes up for a high position because I remember the first week that the Family Jewels came out, it was in the top 10 for a few days (it might have even got to number 1 for like half a day, if i remember correctly!) but ended up charting 138. It seems that the itunes chart isn't really reflective of the actual album chart in the US sometimes.

I'm just hoping that all the Americans who just ordered it off the internet from the UK are going to buy it again

Yeah this won't have amazing sales because she's selling this on name alone since Primadonna is still finding its feet on radio. But there's every chance for it to climb and sell consistently over time when and if the song takes off.

I think they're just putting the album out there so people can buy when they feel like it, rather than push for the album. I think they'll focus on Primadonna and the album will climb and fall over the coming weeks.

I wouldn't take too much away from the chart performance of EH this week.

That is amazing! Her last album didn't even get the top 100 and this one could get top 20!?!?!?!

With the promo she does there I am sure it will really help sales, she should be a recognised artist in the US soon!

Good news over here in the UK too. Radio 1's support for Power & Control is kicking in. After flailing about in the 600/700's for weeks, it's finally starting to catapult up iTunes. Sits at 424 at the moment. Should continue to climb now and hopefully it can go top 40 during release week.

It won't go much higher though unfortunately. All those people buying it are mainly US/Canadian fans who downloaded the album illegally or got it shipped months ago, and are getting the extra track.

Primadonna is up one to 49 on the radio spins though

I still can't believe they replaced Living Dead with How To Be A Heartbreaker, why not just keep both songs on the US edition? Living Dead is one of the best songs on the album!

Her airplay is quite slow but it's slowly improving day by day. She's doing a radio tour at the moment so that should help. Not to mention I think KIIS will get on board next week after stopping by there. Vaulting up iTunes too, will soon break the top 200.

Updated sales for Primadonna and Electra Heart. As of last week 160.5k and 51k. She's got the 89th best-selling album of the year but it's also the lowest selling number 1 album of the year so far. Paul Weller is on 66k. Though I reckon in time it will definitely overtake before the years end.
