Panasonic firmware

hi all,

I have a Panasonic plasma G10 tv but is the irish model from 2009; RTE have digital teletext but since Panasonic have not updated the firmware for G10 tvs we are stuck without the digital teletext service and whatever may come along from RTE / other digital tv providers.

My question is - can i download the latest (or suitable pre released) G20 or G30 2010/2011 model year firmware and install it on my G10? If so - would it work? If not would i be left with a "brick" of a tv?

I dont see why not

however BBC and the Southern Irish are going to share the technology for digital Tv , are they not ?

so you could potentially do it ....................... or wait and buy a new TV
