What we saw in the house was John bantering away as he obviously did at home and loved it .......bantering with friends is one thing but it's the caring about the friendship / relationship that was harder to handle .....new territory ...............different risks and more painful repercussions ........the tears and the fears were a shock to me .........so they must have bamboozled him big style......and Josie as well as she tried to cheer him up..........such intense responses they both had and so head over heels .......nothing about them was ever small and mousey ........they filled the TV screen with every emotion imagineable ........like all the best 'Romantic' couples real or fictional they are a mystery ......and.a journey and endlessly fascinating.
Imagine the novel............ that would have been a corker ........a page turner extrordinaire ........It would have ended in the carpark with every reader sobbing happy snotty tears.....
Real life was one better or one worse depending on your viewpoint as the romance unravelled ..........in fiction they may have learned to understand the nature of hurt........ but all of the times it spilled over neither of them seemed to have the maturity to grasp it ...... button it .....opt out or walk away for a timeout and scream at the sky .......I'd love to think the message has finally gotten through to them both now.....

Words ..........John and Josie ......so many words imprinted in the back of the mind .....speeches of true love and passion and life changing promises ..........coupled with angry words and jibes and misunderstandings ...................sometimes the mood could to and fro between them..... within minutes it would lurch from awww to oh no! ........I call them gasp and sigh moments ........ moments that truly move ......moments when your heart will thump and your mouth will be dry and time will stand still for that moment to play itself out with a drum roll :.
The capacity to love and hurt so deeply in the same breath is the stuff of the best literature and for me John and Josie had it all........an interesting tragic past ..........an emotion fuelled newborn love affair in real time .......and the promise of a future still unwritten ..............I might have penned a different scenario ......but it could have verged on the Mills and Boon .......and so this 'none ending' is maybe more fitting .........they had us guessing from day 1 and still they do ..........very John and Josie dontya think..........”
