VPN for Android tablet?
Can anyone recommend one (is there even such a thing)?
Having recently bought an Android tablet I quite fancy using Sky Go (when launched for Android) and the BBC iPlayer whilst abroad. I don't mind paying for it provided I can do so for a single month at a time. |

Mrs Elway uses it all the time and I use it when travelling. We've tried free ones before but they often drop out or are just slow whereas with this I don't notice a difference.
Even if you're not comfortable about installing the software they do it remotely in the blink of an eye. Have always been impressed with them and not really expensive either. Best of luck and hope it goes well. |

Thanks for that - it is all run from the desktop or is there any router configuration required?
You download a file, install an .exe and then place a bunch of files somewhere (sorry, can't remember). They do provide full instructions with screen shots but it's just quicker if you get them to do it live. But it isn't complicated, I'm just lazy. ![]() After that you connect as normal then click an icon and it connects to the VPN. You don't touch the router so perfect for travelling. |

EDIT - Having said that Google thew up a Techrepublic tutorial on how to connect an Android device to a VPN. Techrepublic |
