Considering these are just large PDA's can I still use my ancient Toshiba E800 or will I have to hand it in?

Interestingly it seems Samsung was caught totally unaware of the court case.

Where does the article say that all tablets but iPads could be banned?

Anyway as always, all this IP trolling is all about money and renegotiating contracts. There seems to be a lot more of it going on whenever the economy goes tits up.

"Should Apple gain victory over Samsung, it would be unlikely to stop there: any company which has created tablets for sale in Europe will be watching the courts in Düsseldorf very closely over the coming weeks."

Yep, anyway, "if you ain't got an iPhone you ain't got a phone" arf arf.

Personally I don't expect Microsoft or any minor seller to be sued.
I doubt Apple would even mind some sort of Microsoft Duopoly happening again too.

edit - its now getting to be quite a massive saga - Samsung accuses Apple of 'photoshopping the evidence" (not Aperturing?)

I don't care you still won't get me buying any Apple product not only are their products inferior to the competitions but it seems as if their business practices are also open to question , if they get away with this how long before they try to get the sale of all smartphones (apart from the overhyped iphone of course) banned and even try to say that only MACs are allowed to be sold as opposed to any other PC ?
