As an aside, I've streamed Sky from home to my office using Splashtop, which is available on the Market. Manages to stream the audio and video just fine. Have only tried it with a wireless connection though, not via 3g. Has an advantage that as it uses your main computer to stream, you have access to more channels than the I pad app. TV out also works via HDMI.

"In the next month or so", according to a Sky customer services rep.

So take that with a large pinch of salt.

you can't, yet.
They didn't say Sky Go, they said some Sky channels.
If you know where to look there's some sites (usually subscription, fraction of the price of Sky though) that broadcast Sky Sports, Movies and some UKTV channels over the web using flash

I haven't tried i,t bu,t as I access Skygo via the website on my laptop and only need the desktop app to download and view later programmes, would it not be possible to just view it that way on the phone as the phone would just be registered as another device........

Nope. Sky Go on the website doesn't use Flash - it uses Microsoft's Silverlight which is similar but not compatible with Android at the moment.

Why would you give up the world of flash when Android has only got a couple of months to wait?

I don't understand why everyone with an iphone goes round pushing it on others and boasting about it?

My Galaxy S2 is an easy match for the iphone and with H+ I'm getting 4.5Mbps download speed in a good area on Three, which is 2 more than my mate gets on his landline

plays almost any vid I throw at it, streams live tv & on demand services with skyfire browser, plays all my music etc, internet radio, fm radio. This thing is mega rapid too! I don't need a fricking Iphone !

the last thing I wait for is sky go and my mobile entertainment will be complete

just because you want it and you want it now, and we don't yet have it, that makes it a joke??

grow up

I'm sure they are piling the pressure on themselves to get it sorted, so all we can do is be patient

Here's the latest: http://www.advanced-television.com/i...go-on-android/ from a few days ago: still under development.

BSkyB is to extend Sky Go to Android devices having achieved 1.6m downloads on Apple tablets within three months of launch.

Personally, I would never have anything to do with that malignant, domineering and bankrupt media empire.

really why are you so sure of this then? the iphone has had this facility in other guises for a while, why is it so unreasonable to expect the same for a larger market phone then?
