You don't give any details - not even what make it is?.

Is it mains?, is it battery?, is it mains with an extra battery to keep the memory running?.

Sorry, new to this game. It's a Pure Evoke, I don't think it has a battery.

It may be you need to be on the station you want when you set the alarm.

A quick look on the Pure support website finds this:

Do I lose alarm, preset or timer settings if my radio temporarily loses power?

No you wont. All PURE radios store settings like alarms, timers and presets indefinitely as the radio writes these details to an EPROM chip which doesn't require any power or batteries to keep them stored.

You will need the radio mains powered if you want your timers or alarms to trigger. Our alarms will not sound if you are running your radio on batteries/ChargePAK.

When it is switched on it should play the same station as when it was last switched off, it shouldn't need retuning. I've had a Pure Tempus, which is an Evoke with an alarm clock function, for the last five or six years and never had to retune.

I would get on to Pure and ask them.

Yes, sounds like your not saving the channels to the presets...
