Soap Schedules - need a refresh
Currently Emmerdale is on 6 times a week and Corrie 5. Also, EE is on at a variety of times (alternating between 7:30 and 8PM) Here is my suggested schedule. Feel free to comment or post your own.
Emmerdale Tuesday to Friday, 7PM EastEnders Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday, 8PM Coronation Street Sunday Monday Wednesday Friday, 7:30PM So that means they're all on four times a week at a set time. Quality should improve. |

Quality should improve. Emmerdale has been going from strength to strength since going out 6 nights a week, and Coronation Street has shown some of its best writing in years. The only show with a problem is EastEnders and we all know about the ins and outs of that. If I had my choice, the Street and EastEnders would return to being thrice weekly, EastEnders - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Coronation Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Emmerdale would go to four nights, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. |

I think the 2 Monday episodes should continue.
Anyway advert times alway take up more time than the programme so I think 2 is enough. |

Well thats not going to happen is it. I'm all for scaling back EastEnders to three times a week, with a double episode occasionally for big storylines. I agree though, the Monday double hasn't done Corrie any harm, in fact it's absoloutely buzzing at the moment. Its all down to the writers and producers and in some cases the cast.

I think the Friday EE episode sould be axe, only on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with hour long episode for big strorylines. I think the friday epsiode has never work, only for the first year it was ok after that the quality of the whole show start to fall (still is, at times).
Corrie Monday double episode has not done the show harm, as the quality is great but the 8.30 is piontless something when there no big storyline going on. |
