Mirabelle Plum Chutney

Here's one for plum chutney..Are Mirabelle plums different to others? I've never heard of them.

Have you tried that recipe guernsey? I found a supply of wild plums a couple of years back (a deserted orchard from yesteryear I suspect, they're tiny but you can easily take away a few kilos without making a dent, did a happy dance when I came across it!) and I'm always looking for new ways to use them. I made plum and ginger stir-fry sauce last year and jelly the year before.

I don't like chutney but my mum makes it from this recipe but she plays about with the spicing, she cut down on the cloves, she says she hasn't found the perfect blend yet!

Thanks for this, looks like a nice easy method. Mirabelle plums are the small yellow ones, quite sweet.
