Anthony Cotton has confirmed what I already thought, he's utter rubbish.

As he crossed the cobbles towards the bookies I had a vision of you yelling 'die die' at the TV screen. Never a Newton and Ridley lorry when you want one eh?

I'm willing to lend you my 'Les Battersby gets a piano dropped on his head and dies squished on the cobbles' scenario - obviously substituting Sean for Les.

I liked him!

Is it because the great work Corrie did with Todd coming out that people do not like this new character because it is more of a 1970s stereotype of a television gay man?

Thanks but no thanks...the only person I could associate with a piano is Mrs Sharples and there's no way that she'd want the likes of Sean being crushed under it!

It's because he is a crap actor!!

I mean come on, that scene in the Kabin was terrible!

It's not the camp thing that annoys me, it's the actor. He has no talent whatsoever, he does camp, camp and more camp. Others like Malcolm Hebden (Norris) are skilled at their trade, whereas Anthony Cotton belongs in school plays.

I agree that he looks like another dead-end character. But like everyone else, give him a chance.

Well I thought he did OK. Hopefully the writing will prove more important than the actor and any funny camp lines the scriptwriters come up with will still shine through for the non-fans.

Totally and utterly crap. Made Larry Grayson look straight. Maybe this is the way soaps are going. Deadenders has its comic book gangster and now Corrie is getting a seaside comic gay person.

He was a bit awful, wasn't he? And what on earth is the point? I mean it's just a gay character for the sake of having someone gay isn't it?
Oh well, let's see what happens..

Be interesting see what Val's son in Emmerdale is going to be like since he's supposed to be VERY camp as well. Hopefully a decent actor..

Better writing? Pwah.

With an "actor" like that the only thing that could possibly improve is the "acting".

He's just playing himself anyway so what should we expect?

I'll say again, I have know problem with a camp character, but he was just horrendous, mainly because he IS camp and can't ACT camp if that makes sense. the emphasis on all THE wrong words etc.... simply painful.

I have a problem with the camp character. It's ****ing sick. 2004 and TV hasn't moved on one bit. Very FEW gay guys love "exfoliation", and many are straighter than straight guys themselves.

I'm sick of being portrayed like that. The look on his face when deirdre started playing that instrument thing. Grr... I threw the remote at the TV (now the remote needs to be held together with sellotape lol). I hate him.

Feel free, would anyone like a rendition of Sean's death?

(Yes, I'd planned it well in advance!)
