Was just browsing William Hill when I came across their Strictly section. They have a list of names with odds next to them- saying that this is the rumoured line-up. Probably nothing in it (they had Christine Bleakley as likely to return at one point!) but will be interesting to see how many of these names make the final cut.

Alex Jones
Chemmy Alcott
Chris Tarrant
Robbie Savage
Nancy Dell'Olio
Fern Britton
Dame Kelly Holmes
Lembit Opik
Sarah Ferguson
Sir Steve Redgrave
Pamela Anderson
Vicky Binns
Gino D''Acampo
Alan Hansen

If that list is remotely accurate I think Gino has won it already tbh.

Hmm...if true, Lembit? But Vicky and Gino are good new names.

I've never even considered Vicky Binns as a potential but she must be attracting some interest to make it into their 14. She'd only 5'0 so could go with no one but Vincent.

Have William Hill ever been accurate with these things before?

Gino and Flavia would be perfect together

Like last year, it's very mixed in terms of age- Fergie for the win!

yeah fergie all the way. Fern would be good 2

I dont think Pamela Anderson as she has already done it twice in America and Argentina.

We will just have to wait and see if that is for real or whether they are talking a load of rubbish.

I reckon both Gino and Lempit wouldn't be in the line up they've troo recently done IAC...

I know Phil took part 2 years; but there was huge amount of distance between his win and him taking part in SCD

I can't see Pamela Anderson being allowed to take part in the British show if she has already taken part in the USA and Argentinian versions. For one thing having already gone through the training schedules twice she would have an unfair advantage over everyone else.

The most likely in my opinion out of these 14 are :

Fern, Nancy,Vicky, Robbie & Alex

Although at this stage is difficult to hink of any of them as champions.

The mere fact that there are 8 women to 6 men makes me see sense. I think some of these will be on, but I am pretty confident that Pamela Anderson is not. I think that the ones we will definitely see are:

MEN:
Chris Tarrant, 64
Robbie Savage, 36

WOMEN:
Fern Britton, 54
Nancy Dell'Olio, 50
Alex Jones, 34
Chemmy Alcott, 29

with a surprise female at the end?

She was only obliged to be there for 5 weeks I think. Same with Mike Tyson.

Please not Lembit or Fergie - don't think I could stand watching either of them! I'm guessing a couple of former Olympians might make sense, given that the BBC is keen to plug 2012 as much as possible, and clearly no current Olympians are going to take part given the injury risk. Interesting that Gregg Wallace is not on the William Hill list as there has been a lot of speculation about him taking part.

Alcott does downhill skiing, which is still three years away (the olympics that is).

Yep, so she could well take part. I'm thinking that potential 2012 Olympians wouldn't want to risk injury (as Jade did) so using former Olympians would make more sense.
