The celebs on the William Hill list don't look too bad. I'd like to see Chris Tarrant on the show. And I'd particularly like to see Alan Hansen on the show although finding it difficult to envisage him dancing latin (more a stately ballroom). I think Fergie (love her or loathe her) would attract a fair bit of publicity to the show.

And Gino would be a rather a nice addition (I agree with Dilly - he would be a nice partner for Flavia - they would look so good together )

A lot of these have been in other reality shows - they are just going round in circles nowadays!!!

i dont like the idea of that it kind of makes a mockery of strictly. Wat i always like about strictly is they dont just have a bunch of z list celebs for their line up. By just having a load of desperate for work celebs ruins this

Blame Moira Ross for taking it down the route of having comedy value

Of the whole cast last year, at least half of them had done some form of reality tv before, including 4 of the top 6. It's probably a safe bet that we'll be getting a few repeats this go around as well.

The list just looks like a load of refried beans to me. I'm fairly sure Fergie's already said she wasn't even asked.

The trouble is with Strictly that people don't actually know who to put on anymore. It used to be easy to find celebs who were not doing much. Now it appears more difficult, agree with footygirls post and I'd prefer it if BBC could have less of an attitude of 'we are a business and going to have celebs that make us money' on the show and ought to be more about talent.

Don't know what the BBC'S shares were last year it's just that in my view it can influence who they pick. Clearly they wanted Anne Widdecombe to get the revenue up. Will be up to the management and producers who they pick. The ball is in their court.

Fern Britton did the Christmas Special tho - if she does do the main show people will start to scream "Unfair, she has had training already......"

To be fair, both Jade & Kara had done specials before they took part in a main series- and it didn't really hinder their progress too much!

They both took part in a special where they trained with a contestant from Strictly's past. The other contestants were Elaine Paige, Gemma Bissix & David Ginola (who went on to do DWTS in France!)

Kara was made to sit out a week's training though Jade wasn't. Also she did the Samba on the Sport relief special which was the dance she missed out on the main show.

Strictly appears to be top dog when it comes to Reality Shows, and the last thing they need is to be using zelebs who just appear to be doing the rounds on the reality circuit (ie. D'Acampo, Opik).

Well, if I remember the video for Kiss kiss well enough, she certainly has no problem moving her hips!

Please don't turn SCD into a freak show - last year the standard was fantastic.
