Which soap had more annoying features in it tonight?

Coronation Street OR EastEnders

This doesn't mean which one is better, simply which one had things you disliked.

Remember Coronation Street had a longer running time, more characters, more storylines and also the arrival of a new character.

Personally I think Coronation St, but I think this makes sense considering the arrival of a new camp character, who's acting wasn't standard. Also Blanches comments which some I found annoying. Cilla also annoys me so much you don't want to know, I wish someone would hit her! EastEnders on the other hand, if the Ferreiras, Gus, Juley, Derek etc were in it then I would say EE but it was only Dot, Jim, Den and Chrissie which I happen to like.

So which one? You Decide...
Be careful what you say, or one forum member my leap on you shouting BIASED! BIASED! well I have a word for them it begins with D.

Coronation Street had the most annoying thing ever in soap history - Sean.

It's totally changed my opinion of the show.

Thankyou, we all know Ben is one of Coro's biggest fans!

And still, I don't think Sean was that annoying in the second episode, he was funny and I like him a lot more than Cilla.

Im not being biased in anyway, just by saying it had more annoying things in, I said it was fantastic what more do you want? Blood?!

Phat mate I called you biased with good reason. Apart from that you're a nice guy

Cilla's supposed to annoy you! Blanche's comments were humourous! And I agree, Sean wasn't the best but give him time.

Also EastEnders was good I agree, without the terrible characters. But Corrie was also very exciting with Karen's turmoil and Maya getting worse! When she was almost going to bash Sunita with that statue I was gripped!

I didn't really watch EE as i was on the phone so can't really comment. Sean did annoy me in Corrie though.

Well maybe I was one of the biggest fans....

They say the Ferreiras drove people away from EastEnders, well Sean has already started driving people away from the Street...

Some of his scenes were okay but others were truly dire...

I agree Coro was exciting and Deirdre playing the harmonica was classic Corrie.

Sean doesn't annoy me that much, not to the stage of some other posters anyway! I can see him lasting a few years in the soap though which may be good or bad...

EastEnders was probably not as good as Corrie but I found more annoying things about it which isn't always that bad as you said Cilla is supposed to annoy us( ).

The thing I don't like about Blanche is the older viewers will probably be there agreeing with her! But thats another matter..

Well if he's there in a few years time Corrie will have undoubtedly got even worse than EastEnders was a few months ago.

They'll be lucky if I even tune in on Wednesday.

Phat, I think EastEnders and Corrie were both brilliant in their own ways tonight.

Hey lets bury the hatchet, k?

Sounds great to me. I just don't want the same label as the likes of Flower Power. Corrie's not my favourite soap but as long as were getting great T.V I couldn't give a monkeys to be honest.

Well Flower Power's another matter, thank god he/she/it (<< I'd say the latter there) has gone. It was all Alan's doing though, he really annoyed them towards the end. hehe

I can understand you not wanting the same label as that ****

I think only one thing annoyed me in Corrie tonight an that was Blanche's "Todd should go to prison an that will sort him" comment, I thought that was a bit OTT, even for an old bag like Blanche lol

Sean didn't annoy me at all which surprises me still. EastEnders, nothing annoyed me! but then again, Gus, Juley, the Ferreiras were all tucked up in bed or down the club, if only they could stay there.

Garbage and myself made some pretty superb plans to kill off the crappy cast, and the above all were included. Can't remember where it is though.

How was the harmonica thing classic Corrie? I thought it was embarrassing.

At the end where she played Amazing Grace over Karen cracking up - that was a very good scene

I stopped watching towards the end, I think people think I'm being daft but I really don't like Coronation Street as of tonight.

Ben can you please explain why one character has turned you off a fantastic soap?

Yes, id like to know that as well. We all knwo you love it a lot and know a lot about it and its history, so why has one character made you feel like this about the whole soap in general? I mean not every character can please everyone!

I preferred the Dot and Jim scenes to the Den and Chrissie ones. Although the part with the stars was a bit too corny for my liking. But nothing annoyed me in either shows. I enjoyed watching both tonight.
