Don't be too hard on yourself.

By registering (free) for the UK service, you can use the same login details to try out the US version now. It worked fine for me but I have a 40mb connection.

it seems BT is Preferred Partner but and ISP will be able to use the service

Just tried that, runs nice and smooth on my 20 Mb Connection, has the potential to be a useful platform

Now that it's public....

Had On Live on field trial for BT during June. Quite impressed with how well it performed, considering it was in the 'cloud' rather than a console.

Hardly any lag considering it was using US servers, graphics didn't stutter, sound quality good.

Overall, I was very impressed. All they need to do is to get the pricing right.

Its approx 1 gig an hour. This will be even higher when they start using native 1080p.

Signed up this morning for it on the 3 month trial. Has potential. Played one game on it, Tropico 3, and seemed to work fine over wireless. Not sure how it'd cope with a memory hungry game.

"memory hungry" Not sure it matters as all games are on their servers and just streamed to you/us as video and sound/telemetry.....if that makes sense, think it does ...I'll get me coat.
