You wait three weeks for szechuan beef...
and then the bloody takeaway fobs you off with beef & veg in gravy
![]() I've been looking forward to having a spicy, flavourful meal from the takeaway for three weeks now but each time we've stayed out longer than planned so didn't get it. Last night we finally left the pub at 11.45 and nipped to the one chinese takeaway in the street that was still open and they had szechuan beef on the menu. I got home and it was a standard beef & veg in gravy. Nothing szechuan or spicy about it ![]() No point in complaining because I scoffed it but I wonder whether because it was 15 minutes to closing they just sent me off with a standard meal. It did come out quite quickly after I ordered it. |

I know. If I wasn't half cut and hungry I would have been more disappointed

I was still aggrieved that I didn't get my spicy beef dish that I was hankering for
![]() I ate it at a mates house and he doesn't like spicy food so had no chilli/hot sauce in the cupboard |
