I am looking forward to having Ron back but have no interest whatsoever in this tripe. I just hope there will eventually be some character led story with Ronnie and Mathew.
Couldn't care less about Charlie the cretin.
It is puzzling as to why the writers spent time and effort building Roxy & Alex up and Ronnie & Charlie just to split them up two minutes later, considering that Sam has probably spent not more than 4 months in EE since January 2014.

Reading the statement from Rita Simons it seems she doesn't agree with what the writers think Roxy thinks.

So Ronnie wakes up after 4 months from a coma so do you:
a) - spent time seeing her bond with her son that she desperately wanted
b) - looks to seek revenge on Nick Cotton
c) - struggle to see her walk and talk again
d) - talk about Vincent

or z) Roxy has an affair with Charlie.

Really, this group of writers go with plan Z? and make it the main focus? Are the mad?

All I can think of is that they felt Charlie was too boring and weak for Ronnie. She need a bad boy so created Vincent. The problem is Ronnie and Charlie did work and in such a short space of time - although Sam has chemistry with everyone - even Fatboy. Give her a bin liner and she would have chemistry with it (and it would be a better actor than Scott Maslen )

Speaking of Scott, I see he turned down a request to come back - 50% of Ronnie fans are rejoicing I suspect whilst 50% are gutted

Nice to see that picture of Ron touching Mathew in the spoilers for next week. I try to pretend Roxy is not in that picture. It's only because the whole storyline is so contrived. As immature and selfish as Roxy can be sometimes, I don't think she would do this to Ronnie, not after everything that has happened after she nearly lost her sister.
Not believable in the slightest

Just seen week 16 spoilers. Vincent is back. Really excited about Vincent and Ronnie's backstory. We will probably get e few scenes between them that week.

Aleks has been axed. I guess that means the love triangle will be in full motion now. Unless Vincent will make it a square again?

Well tonight the night to start watching EE again because the Queen is back and after 4.5 months, she has her voice back!!

I am soooo excited guys... I spent all last night watching old Ronnie clips to celebrate.

I do that sometimes. I have my Ronnie collection of episodes. Every now and again I look back at some Classic Ronnie (normally her first stint but I have watched some of her second stint again like meeting Stacey again in 2014 and some of the early Charlie/Ronnie stuff).

There is always stuff that I avoid. I hardly ever watch the baby swap episodes from Feb through to April. Nor do I watch her killing Carl. Nor do I want to see her Lola obsession again!!

I am the same. I never watch the baby swap clips, any clips to do with Carl White or with Sam Mitchell and Jack sperminator's baby tripe.
I used to watch some of the clips with Charlie but don't anymore. That character is completely ruined for me. If he left tomorrow I wouldn't care.

Looking forward to Ron tonight, it has been a long, long wait.

what a terrible episode that was. "I wish I had met you first". WTF?!!

Burn Charlie Burn!!

At least we got a 2 minute Ronnie cameo and her first word in 2015!

I ignored all of Charlie and Roxy's scenes, since it seemed that Charlie wanted to continuously show off his sex eyes.... Like every time he looked at Roxy, his eyes screamed sex, sex, and yes...MORE SEX.

After watching more old Ronnie episodes, I realised that during 2013 -early 2014, we definitely saw dark Ronnie, and strangely, I liked it. So now we need Vincent and then we can have a very gritty storyline.

I also miss scenes with her and Phil. When they're together, I always see Ronnie as the female version of Grant - I just love their love and hate relationship and even when they fight, you know that Phil really just loves his cousin and is protective of her. I also think that if Ronnie wasn't in hospital and Phil was arrested for something else, he would make Ronnie in charge...

Although this spoiler makes me wonder if Ronnie is a victim of something...

Spoiler
Meanwhile, the history Vincent shares with Ronnie also becomes apparent when he pays her a visit in hospital.

During the visit, Vincent leaves Ronnie shaken when he reminds her of the winter they spent together in 2013...

EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday April 23 at 7.30pm on BBC One

I thought Ronnie was in Ibiza? There was some trouble that kicked off. She was only gone for 2 months So how does Phil know him?

Doesn't seem plausible but I will wait to see the scenes play out. I would rather they knew each other from before 2007 as well. That's what the flashback seemed to indicate.

It was great to see Ron yesterday, albeit extremely short appearance.
I absolutely loathe Roxy and Charlie' storyline. Let's hope we don't have to endure it for long.

Thanks for the spoiler nat. Like you, The_abbott I too hope that Ronnie and Vincent go back to before 2007.
Can anyone remind me what was Ronnie doing the winter of 2013? Is that her departure following Carl White's death?
The_abbott
14-04-2015
well technically "Winter of 2013" could mean Nov-Dec 2013 but she was busy throwing Kat and Alfie out the vic and killing Carl. Jan- Mar 2014 (still winter I guess) she was in Ibiza with Roxy. That's why I don't understand how she also had time to meet Vincent.

I hope she's not the victim of anything. I'm tired with all these female characters going through trauma.

Guys, I'm so emotional...

Charlie has become such a vile character. I can't believe the transformation. The writers have ruined him.
No words for Roxy. How is she going to come back from this I have no idea.

On a positive note, I loved Ron. It is so good to have her back. It was really sad when she couldn't hold Mathew

That was when I got really emotional...
And when she said that she was jealous of Roxy and Charlie...made me hate Charlie so much more because he clearly couldn't care less about Ronnie.
This is where I start this miss Jack...honestly as bad as it got, no one understood Ronnie better than Jack and I think that their love was the only genuine romance that she's ever had on this show... Damn that baby swap

Geez we get Ronnie back and its one of the worst weeks ever because of all this Charlie and Roxy sh1t,

Ronnie loses everything all the time and it gets screwed up by Roxy
Roxy says she never gets anything? WTF is Amy then? Or Sean? or a house Ronnie bought her? She has everything the stupid mare!!

And as for that poor excuse for a man Charlie what a joke.

wait until you hear the "your my number 1". Vomit moment in the making!
lilirose
17-04-2015
They are truly disgusting. So many vomit inducing moments, from his lack of remorse, Roxy's self pity as someone who has been wronged, topped by Charlie's no 1 drivel.

I have no idea who thought this storyline would draw the audience in. I have yet to read a comment in support of this storyline or of this coupling.

I was really disappointed with week 17 spoilers as it seems like Ronnie disappears again after next week.
It has been such a long time since it felt like she had enough screen time to do justice to any story.

If you have not seen today's episode, don't read!

Spoiler
Ronnie holding Matthew made me want to cry so bad...

Me too. It was a lovely scene.

I am not a fan of the Roxy and Charlie's "relationship". After everything that Ronnie has been through and the writers still will not learn their lesson.
