She probs won't be able to do the rest of the shows this week x That looks painful. Shame that she hurt it in the fist place, but even more of a shame that it was on the opening night and the press review. I am sure it must have affected her performance a bit. She must have been so nervous and a bit withheld with her movements. I don't know how she managed to keep those shoes on. It must have been painful despite the painkillers. Bless Sam for going ahead with it. It shows how determined and motivated she is. ![]()

Glynis Barber has tweeted a few things about going to Sam Womack's opening night of 'South Pacific' last night at http://twitter.com/#!/MsGlynisBarber She also posted up a picture of her and I think it is Rita Simons there.
For anyone concerned, it really is Glynis' twitter account as it is on her Official home page http://www.glynisbarber.com and she has said and done various things over the weeks that prove it is her. |

I wonder if they can use the money David Essex was on to afford bringing Glynis back to EE?

It will be money better spent if they can. Glenda is a much more interesting character than Eddie will ever be.
I would love to see Glenda back. The Mitchells desperately need some new life. Glenda would be good for Roxy’s character too. Adding hangers on like Lola is pointless. I doubt they will but I really hope Glynis and Sam find their way back in EE. They clearly get on well and the chemistry showed on screen. So even if those rumours about Sam and that actress who played Suzy were true, it couldn’t have been Sam’s fault because she seems to get on with everyone. Larry, Glynis, Barbara, Steve, Scott, Rita. Ricky and Devon seem to think highly of her too. |

This is a round up of the reviews. http://broadwayworld.com/article/Rev...bican-20110823 There is a general theme in most of the negative reviews re either lack of chemistry between the leads and/or Sam being a bit cautious. I have to say that the cautious bit is probably nerves but mostly related to her broken toe. I am glad that nobody criticizes her singing and her accent. |

Not only is she probably extremely nervous having not performed for audiences like that in years, she has went and broke her bloody toe! Most people after that would have thrown in the towel and taken a break, but the fact that she has continued just shows her determination and passion for what she is doing. Yeah, I'm happy her singing hasn't been criticized either, after all it is hard to sing in tune doing an accent that's not your own. |

That picture of Rita and Sam is just adorable! I'm guessing they haven't seen each other in a while Cute as though, it looks like Sams going in for a good snog hahaha! The reviews are very good to be honest, some can be down right harsh but I've not read one where they slag everyone off and the whole production. Sam and the crew should be so proud of what they've achieved, bad timing much for the toe? It comes with the territory though, very common to hurt the toes while dancing! I bet Sams kicking herself.

The show has great reviews apart from the 'No sexual chemistry' between Sam and Paulo (what do you want them to do,you cant force chemistry it comes naturally you cant act it)
Well Sam had pretty good comments apart from the odd thing here or there! And Paulo had pretty good as well people forget that he isn't actually an actor . |

Well Sam had pretty good comments apart from the odd thing here or there! And Paulo had pretty good as well people forget that he isn't actually an actor . But I do feel from just hearing it rather than seeing it he comes across as the one who can sing and that is not a good thing. As for chemistry having not seen the show I could not comment, well that is the people in casting fault. You could have the best cast but it is up to them to make sure the leads have the chemistry needed. It is a shame about her broken toe but it is common for dancers. I used to dance and was breaking my toes so often, you hardly notice it. Friends of mine in the Royal Ballet say they dance on their toes even when they are broken because they hardly notice it, comes with the territory. So its good to see her keeping with it. But if I am really honest, the sooner this ends for me the better. Because I can not wait to see one of my favourite actresses in something I can really enjoy. |

I think the thing is their excel at their roles. Paulo is a fantastic singer but that does not mean he will be a good actor. Not saying he is not, just I know for sure he can sing. Sam is a fine actress and like I said I do not mind her singing usually but this for me is a turn off. Maybe I was spoilt seeing Kellie O'hara in the role I don't know.
